Dr. Blake Willard-Homeschool Mastery Group

Usually, parents start homeschooling looking to answer the wrong question, and they end up encountering unexpected problems. I help parents articulate and create the perfect homeschool program tailored to their family's needs and goals.
I provide coaching and support for successful and sustainable homeschooling. Parents learn to grow themselves so that they can grow their kids to reach their potential.

This channel is an overflow of my goal to help as many families as possible move into successful homeschooling. The guidance provided is to get people over whatever hurdle is holding them back from starting, or from achieving the results they hope for.

As a Christian educator, Principal, and Parent with a doctorate in Educational Ministry and 13+ years of experience, I formed the Homeschool Mastery Group to help parents overcome fear, doubt, and insecurity about their ability to homeschool successfully.

Copying the school model at home is keeping you stuck.

Most parents who start homeschooling just recreate what they left. They copy the school schedule, follow whatever curriculum their friend recommended, and hope it works.
The problem with this is your homeschool was never built around YOUR family. It was built around someone else's. So it never quite fits, you're constantly second-guessing yourself, and every few months you're starting over.

This leads to burnout, fighting your kids through every lesson, spending money on tutors and programs that don't solve the real problem, and lying awake wondering: "Am I actually doing enough for my children?"

After helping parents like Margarita (whose son went from 3rd to 7th grade level in 2 years), Rebecca (who went from survival mode to leading confidently), and Holly (who went from surviving to thriving), here's what I'd do instead:

Build your homeschool around your family's mission, values, and goals FIRST. Before you touch a single curriculum.

This works because when you know exactly who you are as a family and what you want for your children, every decision gets easier. Curriculum becomes a tool that serves your program, not the other way around.

Which leads to a homeschool that feels natural, kids who actually engage, and a parent who leads with confidence because the whole thing was built for them.

Now, parents, think about it like this:

Do you want to keep patching together someone else's system and hoping it sticks?
Or would you rather build something that actually fits your family and works?
