Rise of Asia
The results are in from Japan, and the map of Asia just changed. 🗳️🌏
Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi just won a historic landslide victory. For the first time in Japan’s history, a single party has secured a 'supermajority.'
Why does this matter for China? Takaichi is known as the 'Iron Lady' of Japan. She is a strong conservative who wants to build up Japan’s military and has taken a very tough stance on trade and security with Beijing.
With this new power, she doesn't have to compromise. We are likely looking at a much more 'hawkish' Japan for the next few years. This comes at a time when China is already trying to manage its own economic pivot.
Are we heading toward a deeper 'Cold War' in Asia, or will this force both sides to finally sit down and talk?
What do you think Japan's win means for the neighborhood?

Rise of Asia
Everyone is debating the USA vs. China AI race, but I think most of the world is looking at the wrong scoreboard.
It’s not just about who has the "smartest" model or the best benchmarks. AI doesn't run on ideas—it runs on electrons. At its core, it’s a simple equation: Data + Compute + Energy.
Here is how the two giants are actually playing the game:
🇺🇸 The US Edge: High-Value Monetization America doesn't just have data; it has "Money Data." Consumer habits, global SaaS workflows, and massive payment funnels. Companies like Google and Microsoft aren't just training models; they’re plugging AI directly into profit loops. That is commercial leverage China is still fighting to match.
🇨🇳 The China Edge: Brutal Physical Execution While the West debates zoning and regulations, China builds. Fast. They are aligning power grids, land permits, and massive data centers with national-level coordination. If AI is constrained by power and infrastructure (which it is), China’s ability to "physically execute" is a massive threat.
The Overlooked Move: China is quietly building the global "backbone" (undersea cables and fiber) across Africa and Asia. They aren't just building AI; they’re building the pathways for it to flow.
Meanwhile, the U.S. is racing to "re-learn" how to build physical infrastructure again.
So, I want to hear from you. Who do you think has the ultimate advantage in this "Physical AI" era?
