Little post update for those interested

So this weekend I have a goal to publish a new video. Something unrelated to the apartment hunt but still exploring the city and talking about some new favorite things.

I’ve been cooking, Sam (my partner) and I have started a new weekly activity of randomly selecting a movie from his collection to watch.

The first movie was The Matrix! Not to be deep about that movie but I really felt the feeling of living in a pattern and needing to break out of it. Hence the idea for the video. Each thing I’ve been doing has been helping me break free of the repetitive tasks of apartment hunting, working, and sleeping.

I want it to be a beautiful video encapsulating the season of the city right now. It might be unusual but I’m excited to shoot it.

Last year I started making my own coffee blends and syrups and served them at pop ups.

I didn’t have a license to sell so I did it for tips. It was a great experience to see what people thought about my take on a latte and cold brew and it was a success!

I didn’t make much money but I earned just enough to break even after investing in equipment and a cooler, just from tips.

I dream of owning a shop one day.

It feels impossible…

but I don’t care.

Soon I’ll be serving again this year. I look forward to it! I have been getting a lot of suggestions in the comments of my videos and from people in my life that want to see me try a cross country trip fully funded by the coffee I serve along the way.

It may seem crazy but the idea of documenting that and sharing live on YouTube gets me very excited. Not only a chance to travel and a chance to share my craft but an experience I might never get the chance to do again!

I guess I’m curious if that sounds exciting to you?

I have to look into it more, what it’ll cost, what I’ll have to do to serve coffees in other states, and what I might do in order to raise money for a future shop.

Thought I’d share this thought. It might actually happen.

That’s me!

didn’t plan to be here right now in the middle of things, but i think i needed this more than i realized…

good food, real rest, quiet moments, and exercise … (I did an arm workout that is killing me right now!)

it all feels like a reminder that life can still feel light in the middle of everything.

….even ended up at my first nude beach today…(no, you won’t see that part lol)

i might share a video from this trip when i’m back before getting into apartment updates again…

Also, maybe something different like showing more places I like and support in the city.

but for now… I am just letting myself enjoy what’s in front of me…

Hey! Im working on a video where I was invited to check out a couple Luxury Buildings with the potential to ACTUALLY LIVE IN ONE!!!!

These places have everything!!! and I recorded so much that it is taking me ages to go through it all....

By far the units in the video are the BEST I've seen not even including the amenities in the buildings (like this gym). 

I would be so lucky to live in a place like this....

I am trying to have the video ready to share before Wednesday night. thanks for checking in, I'm excited to share this experience of dreaming a little bigger rather than stripping away at my standards just to find a place I can get accepted at.

Hey! It’s 70 degrees and sunny today in NYC! It feels so alive!

Trying something new here….

My upload schedule this week is as follows.

Friday -
new video featuring my love for small businesses in the city, it is currently available for members and will be shared publicly Friday. (I hope you guys like it! :)

Next Monday -
Apartment hunting vlog with the apartments I’m seeing this weekend.

I want to share this so you know what to expect from me. Also! if there are any ideas as to what I should do in these videos or any questions for me? I’m really happy to take suggestions on how I can make these videos better.

I think I’ll be trying some food/drink spots while I’m exploring some of the neighborhood I could be living in to share in the video. May have some time to talk while doing that :)

My most recent upload has received a lot more attention than I anticipated!

Hello to all the new subscribers! Thank you for leaving such encouraging comments! I have heard back from a few places this morning and I’ll be sharing a video a little later in the week exactly what has happened.

I want yall to know I work a full time job and I can only make so much time for these videos right now but I love making them and I’m so grateful you found me and my channel! So many videos to come telling real stories from my life and experiences.

Hey!! I hope you are staying cozy.

New York is freezing and not pleasant to look at. Cars are locked into snowdrifts and trash scattered in the snow! My partner and I are making the best out of it but I wanted to update you.

My videos will slow down for now (not daily because I don’t want to be a downer lol), I feel like I’m in in a limbo between what I should share or talk about... honestly I just want the next few videos to feel like progress.

I plan to have a follow up video talking about my walk through and whether or not I’ll be taking the place on Wednesday.

Other than that I am at my partners place and working my full time job. I’m saving money but stressed about overstaying my welcome. It’s hard to make videos in such a small and shared place, I look forward to chatting with you again soon.
