You can build a fully modern, color-coded Gantt chart in Excel.
For free.
It runs on just 3 inputs: → Start date → Duration → Progress
And it does the rest automatically:
- Live progress bars that fill as work gets done. - Timelines that shift when dates change. - Completed tasks that turn green on their own. - Today's date highlighted, every day.

❓ What are you currently using to manage projects?
Sales teams pay $25-300 per user/month for a CRM. You can build one in Excel for $0.
I'm not talking about a basic contact list.
I'm talking about a real CRM that:
→ Pulls customer details, interactions, and opportunities from one place. → Filters active leads by industry, stage, or value with one click. → Updates automatically when new deals come in (no manual entry). → Lets you switch between customers from a drop-down and watch every field refresh instantly.
The secret? An underrated Power Query feature called custom data types.

❓ What CRM are you using right now (or are you still living in spreadsheet chaos)?

You're somewhere inside a workbook.
Sheet 7 of 14.
Row 847.
And all you need is to get back to the summary tab.
So you click. And scroll. And click again.
Meanwhile, the person who sent you this file is probably still waiting for your reply.
The problem is you don't know how to move through large workbooks fast.
The HYPERLINK function can turn any workbook into something you navigate in one click.
Jump to any sheet.
Open any external file.
Land on any row in a database of thousands automatically.

You've never seen Excel do this.
Most people think Excel is for numbers.
Also, for charts and formulas.
But Excel can send your WhatsApp messages too.
Yes, actual WhatsApp messages to real phone numbers.
You can personalize a message for every customer from one spreadsheet.
Payment reminders. Appointment confirmations. Promos. Thank-you notes.
Send in seconds!

You're still using VLOOKUP, aren't you?
And CONCATENATE.
Maybe some INDIRECT.
They work.
But they're also slow, fragile, and harder to maintain than they need to be.
Excel has quietly replaced most of the formulas people learned 5+ years ago.
The problem is nobody announces when a formula becomes outdated.
So you keep using what you know, even though there's a better option sitting right there.
This video walks through the old formulas still showing up in spreadsheets everywhere and what actually replaced them.
Worth watching if you learned Excel before 2021: https://youtu.be/teZgWftPT-w

You're only using 10% of SUM.
Most people think SUM just adds up numbers.
That's it. That's the whole function.
But SUM can quietly do the job of COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, and AVERAGEIFS.
And it can handle things those functions simply can't.

❓ Did you know SUM could do more than add numbers?
