ONE MONTH TO GO! The countdown for Record Store Day UK is officially on. On 18th April, we’re celebrating the exclusive release of 'Acoustic Live'. Looking back at the 2019-20 tour photos, we’re reminded of the incredible energy you brought to those sold-out rooms.
This album was recorded and mixed by our dear departed friend Simon Holliday, making this Lime-colored double vinyl a truly special tribute to his talent and our shared memories. We love you all!
Remember the 2019-20 acoustic tour? We’ve been digging through the archives and found these photos… those nights were some of our absolute favourites.

Taking a ‘holiday’ break from rehearsing for the instore tour!

In the face of uncertainty, when the cards are stacked and the die already cast, maybe the bravest move is to show your hand and to admit you don’t have the answers. Maybe it’s okay to not be okay for a while. But those old habits die hard, don’t they.
One of our favourite moments making the new album was when we dropped the hook from Feeling Oblivion into the middle 8, suddenly the song took on a whole new meaning. This band is the old habit. We're still here. You're still listening. And the ripples from The Optimist are still growing.
We're heading to the seaside and Lyme Regis for a headline acoustic set at Lyme Folk Weekend on Friday, 29th August. Tickets are on sale now here: lymefolk.com/tickets
