Had a great time chatting with Townsend Coleman. Even though I grew up with him voicing my favorite Ninja Turtle (Michelangelo), we mostly chatted about the Tick. I asked what he based the voice on seeing how his portrayal was basically the blueprint (pun intended) for every future version. I was surprised to find there wasn't as much Adam West as I would have assumed but more Gary Owens and Ted Knight. He's such cool guy to chat with.

That's me with Renae Jacobs, the voice of my first childhood crush April O'Neil. I talked about how I saw her character as much more than a damsel in distress and how a lot of that came from her energetic performance. I always respected how unlike Lois Lane who covered the news for the fame, April did it to get the information out there and was confident enough to know she was the best one to do it (Lois did it for the glory, April did it for the story). When I asked if anyone told her they got into journalism because of her, she said "all the time," which was really cool to hear. She was a lot of fun to talk to and had just as much charm as you would imagine.
