So when hiring or promoting staff to a leadership position, make sure you have development plan in place to upkills them to get right skills and knowledge to manage people.
Conducting Training needs analysis atleast annually will help to identify training required for key staff.
Just because someone is good at doing certain tasks, doesn't necessarily mean that, they will be a good team leader.
