First off, we want to THANK YOU ALL for subscribing to our channel, tuning in, and engaging with us with your comments and questions. We LOVE this community!
Second, you kept telling us to make shorter, more concise, and more engaging (visual) videos. WE HEAR YOU!
So, Bilal's working on a 'Quick Take', but he needs your help deciding on which topic to discuss first: the Pakistan Navy's efforts to get a sea-based nuclear capability (via an SSN or SSBN) OR the Pakistan Army sending troops to Saudi Arabia.
Let us know which of these you're interested in, and we'll lock it in!
We're prepping the next episode and wanted to open the floor to you.
Here's what's on the agenda:
🔹 Fatah-IV — The second announced test, its lineage from the Babur LACM family, and what it signals about Pakistan extending strategic-only munitions into the conventional role
🔹 JF-17's Long-Term Role — Why the Thunder remains central to the PAF's force structure, the SOW integration story, PFX-Alpha, and how J-10CE fits alongside it
🔹 The PAF Training Gap — Why the current pipeline from T-37s and K-8s to 4th/4.5th-gen cockpits has a serious generational disconnect, and what it would take to fix it
🔹 Z-10ME with mmW Radar — PAA's evolving role as the steward of low-altitude ops and what the attack helicopter adds to network-enabled warfare
What questions do you want us to tackle? Drop them in the comments below and we'll work the best ones into the episode.
We'll be recording our next two episodes soon, one on Pakistan's space program and another on the Indian Air Force recommending 114 Rafale fighters to the Indian government.
Be sure to post your questions so we can get to them!
We'd love to get your questions for our next Defence Uncut episode, which will focus on some of the new weapon systems China revealed (e.g., HQ-9C, Type 100, CCA UCAVs, etc).
We'll be recording our next episode in a couple of days, but the delay will be worth it as our guests Usman Shabbir and Yawar Mazhar (authors of 'Eagles of Destiny') will be returning!
Our topic will be on the history of the JF-17 (considering it first flew in August 2003) and, by extension, each of the times the PAF looked at producing aircraft in Pakistan.
In the lead up to the episode, we'd LOVE to get your questions, and we'll answer the top ones in the episode.
The Pakistani government announced that it got an offer from China for:
▶️ 40 J-35(AE?) stealth fighters ▶️ HQ-19 long-range, high-altitude air defence system ▶️ KJ-500 AEW&C system,
In addition, Azerbaijan is to procure 40 JF-17s from Pakistan Aeronautical Complex.
We had recorded Episode 2 (dropping later today) of #DefenceUncut last week on how Pakistan could counter the BrahMos from a defensive/air-intercept standpoint. Obviously, we could not touch on the recent news. However, the team is now recording a Episode 2.5 that will drop tomorrow/Saturday.
2025 Conflict Forces a Shift in Pakistan’s Doctrine
