This week we posted our longest vlog EVER on our channel (59 minutes! 🤯) and we have received a lot of comments about how much you like the longer vlogs.

TBH, we were hesitant to upload such a long vlog because people have lives - but it was surprising how many of you seemed to enjoy it!

Is this something you would like to see more often from our channel? (Obviously we won’t give you an hour long vlog on a place or subject that doesn’t warrant it.)

It’s time, YouTube friends! 🚂

We recreated the luxurious (and quite pricey) Orient Express train trip across Europe. But we did it for A LOT less money. Because, let’s be honest, most people can’t afford a $25,000 train holiday (it’s us… we are most people.) 🤣

And this all started because Nate read a NY Times article…

It indeed was an adventure on board three different trains through seven different countries, but we eventually made it safely from Amsterdam all the way to Istanbul, even if we were completely exhausted.

Nate and Katrina Do the World

We just passed the 20k subscriber mark on our channel! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Which, for something that started out as a fun hobby where we would record our travels and post them online for our families to watch back home, is a big deal for us!

We also made a terrible promise that if we reached this milestone by June 30, we would eat Dutch herring (if you’re unfamiliar, a quick Google search should do the trick). A promise that we might now be regretting. 😂

To celebrate and talk through this whole herring situation, our feelings on fish, in general, and upcoming travel plans to continue our trek towards vlogging every country in Europe - we posted a new Fireside Chat (our N&K Podcast) over on our PATREON page!

It has been a little longer than we would like since our last Fireside Chat Podcast over on our Patreon page.

But if you've been following along either here or on our social media, you know that over the past month, we lost both our 13 year old Labrador, Finnegan, and then two weeks after his passing, we lost our 9 year old tuxedo cat, Kramer.

So things have been not so great around our apartment lately (which is putting it mildly). But as we work through the pain and grief, we thought that we would use this particular podcast as a way to update everyone that follows us across all social platforms (not just our Patreon members that have access to these monthly podcasts, weekly updates, and mini vlogs as part of their membership).

This particular podcast is FREE to EVERYONE - not just our Patreon members. 🎉

We wanted a platform to share what happened with our beloved animals, why we are still putting out vlogs despite what has been happening, what we have planned for the next few weeks / months, and really just check in with everybody.
