Since I have seen all of the three entries of Christopher Nolan’s the dark knight trilogy, here is my ranking of this peak trilogy from weakest to best

3) the dark knight rises (2012): This is definitely by far a pretty good conclusion to this trilogy especially that it does have a very intimating and interesting villain like “Bane” that basically intimated Batman and made him a force to be reckoned with especially for basically torturing him not just physically but also psychologically since he literally locks him in his prison and forces him to watch that his city is now under bane’s control and turned into a dystopian hell scape and do find Bruce Wayne’s relationship with cat woman to be kinda sweet especially that both of them add more chemistry to each other rather than Bruce Wayne’s relationship with Rachel, though despite that this movie has its peaks, it does suffer one minor nitpick since I don’t like that Alfred just notoriously dumped Bruce just because he was risking himself as the hero of Gotham city despite that he was literally experienced with his shenanigans in the last movies and he cowardly throws himself in the towel because Bruce has risked his life to much and when he appeared at the ending at the funeral especially when he said he failed him, I was like “what the hell did you expect since you dumped him just because he was risking himself despite that you were active with him in the last two movies solving crimes with him”

2) Batman begins (2005): A pretty good and outstanding origin story to our iconic beloved superhero especially that I do appreciate that not only focused on Bruce Wayne’s adventure as Batman who fights crime and solves a conspiracy that leads that his best friend and mentor was behind and part of this conspiracy but I do appreciate that it focused on Bruce Wayne’s past and his coming to age storyline of how he became Batman especially with all of his training montages of him exercising and building his own suit and do admit that Christian bale’s performance as Batman is easily phenomenal and it basically makes him the best Batman by far and do appreciate the plot twist reveal that his mentor and Friend was part of a conspiracy of intoxicating Gotham city


1) the dark knight (2008): Easily by far the best of the trilogy and it’s easily considered one of the greatest Batman movies ever made since it has a very good and interesting story especially for basically incorporating a lot of character development to our likable cast like how the fact that Bruce Wayne wanted to retire and wanted Harvey dent to succeed him into becoming gotham’s new hero especially that I do appreciate that it focuses on the villains and their arcs like Harvey dent since he went from trying to become one of Gotham’s potential heroes only to become corrupted and manipulated by the joker and turned him into the villainous and intimidating “two face” and the fact that the joker is basically the physical embodiment of the devil himself since he was the responsable for constantly raiding banks, attempting assassinations, manipulating Harvey dent into becoming a sociopath and for basically almost killing innocent people and forcing them to turn on each other

What are your thoughts on Christopher Nolan’s second installment of the dark knight trilogy titled “the dark knight”

Personally after seeing this second installment, I do gotta admit that I do find it my personal favorite of the trilogy for now on since it’s easily by far very interesting in terms of storytelling, character development and it’s themes

I do appreciate that it focuses on Bruce Wayne’s development as Batman and how he must deal with either his friend turned enemy “Harvey dent” who want him to succeed as Gotham’s new hero and for also constantly dealing with the joker’s evil shenanigans and speaking the joker, I do like how this film portrays him as a physical embodiment of the devil himself considering that he was the responsable for attempting assassinations, betraying his Allies, robbing banks, almost killing innocent civilians by almost blowing them up in the ferries and by also corrupting his rivals by manipulating them and turning them into sociopaths just like him and speaking of Harvey dent, I do find a very interesting character considering that he does have a character arc for wanting to be Gotham’s new hero only to become corrupted and turned into a sociopath thanks to the joker and he does feel very tragic and sympathetic because of it

Overall, the dark knight is definitely by far one of the best entries of the trilogy due to being a lot more darker in its tone and narrative and for developing its characters and their arcs

Since I had seen some entries of the terminator franchise, here is my ranking of this franchise

5) terminator genysis (2015): Easily by far the most convoluted and stupidest entry of this entire franchise especially for having a convoluted narrative that features a lot plotpoints that notoriously come out of nowhere like the reveal of skynet attacking John Connor that somehow affects skynet’s activation, or the fact that the T 800 and Sarah Connor come out of nowhere and somehow knew that these events ocurred and a T 1000 that somehow appeared like out of nowhere despite that he was not created yet along with that the characters are notoriously bland and mediocre and I do especially hated the miscast of Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese since jai Courtney and Emilia Clarke are really unconvincing as the characters they portrayed since they lack the charisma and personality of the two well known characters from the first film and this is the entry that made me give up with this franchise

4) terminator 3 rise of the machines (2003): Do admitedly find this third entry to be a little underrated since it does have some aspects that holds up very well like the themes of mankind’s ambition of playing god with technology and accepting fate and the ending is easily considered the best part of the entire movie but it does have a lot flaws especially for having a wacky tone that’s just all over the place, it does feature alot of cheap and dated visual effects especially that the action sequences are extremely cheesy and over the top and it does feature a lot of meandering and forgettable characters with some of them being extremely annoying

3) terminator salvation (2009): Do admitedly find this fourth installment better than terminator 3 since it’s the only film of the franchise that took place in the future war especially that the narrative, characters, visual effects and tone are hell of alot better than the last movie especially that I do appreciate that this movie had the balls to take this franchise into a new direction instead of a cheap cashgrab by finally taking place during the future war and focusing on the adventures of John Connor and the resistance against the machines thought it does have its issues with its narrative especially with the reveal of skynet using Marcus to kill john Connor felt very convoluted and dumb

2) terminator 2 judgement day (1991): it may be a hot take for putting this iconic sequel at second place instead of first but I do have my reasons in why it’s the case but I still love this sequel and it’s easily considered one of the greatest sequels ever made especially for being one of these sequels that develops the lore of the original and actual a deserved continuation instead of a cheap cashgrab especially that the well executed narrative, to the likable and memorable characters, to their well executed character dynamics, for still containing the themes of mankind’s ambition of playing god with technology and still do appreciate that this movie despite being an action movie, still contains darker elements especially even disturbing moments like the infamous atomic bomb nightmare that still gives me chills

1) the terminator (1984): i don’t know about you but I do prefer the original a lot more instead of the beloved sequel definitely because I do appreciate the more horror movie vibe to it specifically the slasher elements in it since this movie felt like a scifi slasher film with elements from a slasher movie like Halloween, Texas chainsaw massacre or even Friday the 13th and hell even James Cameron took the ideas from john carpenter’s Halloween along that I do find Arnold’s performance as the villainous T 800 to be extremely underrated since it gives the allusion that he’s not playing around and will kill anyone on sight, I do appreciate the darker tone of this movie especially for having a very ominous atmosphere that gives the allusion that this movie is more of a nightmare rather than entertainment along that the terrifying score really add up to the nightmarish feel of the film especially that it does feature a lot of creepy moments that still gave me chills and I do appreciate the themes of the movie that are still relevant to our modern day lives which is the constant obsession with technology and how we are enslaving ourselves toward it and how that technology basically enslaved us back and considering that AI is now common nowadays and people being obsessed by it, I get the feeling that this movie and the franchise in general are an allegory of mankind’s enslavement over technology

(I haven’t seen dark fate but probably will never will since I’m done with this franchise since I feel like, it should have stopped at either terminator 2 or salvation since terminator genysis made this franchise self destruct because of how dumbed down it has become)

Just recently watched terminator genysis

And gotta be honest, this is easily by far one of the worst entries I have ever seen especially for being one of the most stupidest movies I have ever seen since i do find the narrative to be extremely convoluted and messy especially for having plotpoints that come out of nowhere like the moment when skynet attacked John Connor like out of nowhere especially that somehow affected the past, or the fact that the T 800 and Sarah Connor come out of nowhere and somehow knew the events were happening and a freaking T 1000 that just comes out of nowhere despite that he was not created yet, the characters are easily pretty forgettable especially I didn’t like that Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor are horribly miscast and it’s just a very sluggish film to sit though because of how dumbed down the storyline really is especially that the horrible dialogue didint make this movie very fun to watch and I didint even watch the entire movie since I have only seen the first act up up until the moment when the characters arrived in 2017 and thats where I stopped watching the movie completely since I was extremely bored of the film because of how stupid it has become

The only good thing about this movie is the opening future war sequence and thats it since the movie went downhill when the time travel shenanigans occurred and the movie becomes extremely convoluted and dumbed down

And besides, I’m pretty much done with this franchise in general because I used to enjoy the first four movies and do find them the best entries that this franchise has to offer but then when I tried to watch this movie, I soon started to realize that this franchise “terminated” itself because of how dumbed down it has become because of this movie and the franchise should have just stopped at either terminator 2 or terminator salvation since genysis completely killed this franchise in general and I’m probably not gonna watch terminator dark fate considering that i’m so done with this franchise especially after my disappointment with this movie
