Happy Easter Weekend Friends. No video this weekend, but I wish you all a blessed Easter with your family and loved ones. Its a pretty mild day here in the northeast and I'm very much looking forward to spending some time outdoors. I have my panicle hydrangeas and roses to prune and fertilize, and I've been hardening off my spring flower seedlings. Maybe I'll even get some planted. Tell me what your up to? Have you started any garden cleanup where you are? -Steph 🌱💚
Hi friends! A few little updates to share. The amaryllis we potted up at the garden club meeting back in November is finally blooming and it is absolutely gorgeous. I have seen photos of other members’ blooms too, and it really seems like the John Scheepers bulbs are excellent quality.
I have also been busy winter sowing. I added 13 more containers this week, which brings my January total to 25. I still have a few seeds left that I want to sow once I get my hands on more containers, then I will call it done for now. While I was at my local Ace Hardware, I came across a really interesting lupine called ‘Pixie Delight Dwarf.’ It is an annual, stays about 12 to 18 inches tall, and looks like a great option for the front of a border. It is considered a wildflower type lupine, and I am excited to see how it performs. Let me know if you have grown it before.
We have been getting much more snow this winter than we have in years past, which has definitely put me in a baking mood. When I filmed a garden tour at Lisa’s home last season, she gifted me the most delicious cinnamon rolls along with a jar of her homemade vanilla extract, which I have been putting to very good use. Not only is she a talented gardener, but she is also a fabulous baker.
Have you noticed the days are already getting longer? Only 59 days until spring. I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Tell me something good 👇 Steph 🌱🥰

Happy Fall Friends!! Its a rainy day here in the northeast and I'm so happy about it! We need the rain badly, and its really helping with the cozy fall vibes. I have lots of work to catch up on inside, things that get neglected during the gardening season. I'm sure many of you can relate. Tell me friends, how are you all doing? Are you looking forward to this new season? Also, its time for me to start thinking about some Hooked and Rooted at home videos. Let me know if you enjoyed those last year and some things you would like to see? Hope you all have a beautiful and cozy fall day! - Steph 🌱P.S. A picture of Rocco enjoying some new recliners George and I treated ourselves to recently. Rocco says they were a great addition to the living room 💚
Hi Friends! The weather is cooler and I'm so invigorated to begin fall planting, how about you? This time of year my garden always starts to feel a little tired — containers fading, blooms slowing down. But I found a few simple ways to keep things looking fresh, and I shared them in this video. If your garden could use a little pick-me-up before winter, maybe these ideas will help! 🌸Watch here: https://youtu.be/CimiBKlGsKY?si=yQ0ZI...
