Americans making jokes about “ww3 starting!” are so weird. “Why did ww3 have to start i never got to (completely out of touch thing)” said from someone who is perfectly safe and fine. While people are actively fearing for their lives and getting bombed, you go and make TikToks about how “unserious genz is 😂”, are you the one fearing for your life? If ANYONE had done some actual research theyd know that the U.S isnt going to get attacked. No country has the power to physically attack us, so spewing dumbass nonsense while trump continuously attacks a country smaller than most of our states because they have “nuclear weapons” (same propaganda for everything that happened in Iraq btw!) is just dumb. The U.S has unmatched military capability, so shut ur privileged ass up and try to spread awareness, not tone deaf “funny” humor. And people saying “we just want to be unserious because we might die its how we cope” stop being an idiot. Americans have NEVER been attacked on American soil, with only 3 exceptions: The Civil War, Pearl Harbor, and 9/11. Every other war was them just sitting back while letting soldiers fight in some far off country that posed absolutely no threat to them to begin with. You can’t make dark humor jokes that dont apply to you. And i seen people saying “well people in iran have been making jokes!” MAYBE BECAUSE THAT IS THEIR LIFE RN?? Thats when using jokes as a coping mechanism is valid, but what do you guys need to cope from? Watching the news from the comfort of your home..? The most that’ll happen is cyber attacks or economic issues, which yes is something to be scared of and its valid to be worried about the state of our country rn, but not in the ways that people have been making jokes about.
