Continuing the series of videos about ordinary lives in North Korea, today's video is about money.
What has money meant for North Koreans? How has it evolved over time?

When Soviet space program was considering designs for their manned space modules, they considered 5 different variations.
Including one that -I kid you not- would use helicopter style blade rotors with rockets on the tips of the blades !!! (Check variation D)

The Soviet Union operated a network of overseas hospitals including in Iran.

The Soviet Red Cross committee flatly refused and sent a female surgeon.
Women constituted over 75% of the medical professional in the Soviet Union.

In Soviet Union, Stalin was extremely secretive about the Soviet Missile and ballistic program. So much so that when after his Stalins death, Khruschev visited the facilities in person, he was so amazed that he gawked 'like peasants in a market place' and did everything except 'licking the missiles'
