Baltic Aquascaphe Review: Discovering the Microbrand's Cult-Classic Dive Watch
LIMITED IN TIME
The Seconde Majeure .
Timeless case
Housing a SpaceOne module in a Baltic case would have been too easy. We aimed at something new, something none of us would have made without the other. The result is an entirely new design. Inspired by independent watchmaking, the Seconde Majeure is fitted with a 38.5mm case. Mid-case, lugs and case back are brushed with contrast provided by a polished concave bezel. This shape and finish are mirrored on the lugs. Arched and low-hanging, the lugs help the watch to sit naturally on the wrist. The feeling is complemented by a strap crafted by Delugs. Made from beige Alcantara® and featuring curved spring bars, it hugs both the wrist and the case.
Maillechort
This alloy of copper, zinc and nickel is often chosen for its high dimensional stability. Machined out of it, dial both frames and supports a jumping hour module.
Strap
Made by Delugs, this beige Alcantara® strap complements the warm dial.
Versatile size
Fitted in a 38.5mm case, the Seconde Majeure fits all wrists. Its arched and low-hanging lugs help the watch to sit naturally.
Parisian assembly
All watches are assembled, regulated and inspected in SpaceOne's workshop at 10 Place des Victoires, in the heart of Paris.
packaging
Blending cork and brushed steel, the packaging seals the collaboration.

Wristmons
Joker Five
Specifications

About this watch
Konstantin Chaykin’s Joker became a sensation amongst watchmaking connoisseurs in 2017. In 2022, the master horologist decided to celebrate the five-year anniversary of the popular model by creating an entirely new Joker Five watch with a new design and a new complication.

When considering the new model, Konstantin Chaykin decided to use an open-worked dial similar to the unique Martian Tourbillon created for the Only Watch 2021 auction.

This design makes the main functional components of the Joker-indication module visible from the dial side. Incidentally, the master has redesigned this module: the smiling moonphase indicator has been replaced by a new day-of-the-week retrograde indicator: again, a broad, mischievous grin from ear to ear. Joker Five watch is produced by Konstantin Chaykin under license from DC Comics. All rights reserved.

New joker-indication module
Konstantin Chaykin has been using day-of-the-week indicators in his Wristmons several times. The Joker Selfie, the Minotaur, and the Smilodon watches possess such a function. In the Martian Tourbillon watch, the "smile", which combined the Martian calendar and the day-of-the-week indicator, received the calendar function for the first time. Chaykin chose this version of the dial design for the new Joker 5 model. Thus, the smile of the new Wristmon became a retrograde day-of-the-week indicator. This time it's a classic, Earth version.
