10x coding speed is useless if your infrastructure moves at 1x.
If you generate code in seconds but environments take days, you aren't moving faster.
The gap between AI development and legacy provisioning kills engineering momentum.
A developer opens a ticket โ the platform team reviews it โ someone raises a PR โ the pipeline runs, and finally, the environment is ready in three days.
The same developer who prototypes a microservice in an afternoon waits three days for a database.
Engineers designed this process for a development speed that no longer exists.
How that gap plays out:
A dev spins up an AI-generated service and needs a test environment. They open a ticket. The platform team stays busy with production. Two days pass. The dev switches tasks. By the time the environment is ready, they have lost all momentum.
Multiply that across 20 developers. You have turned a 10x coding speedup into a 1x delivery outcome.
Spacelift Intelligence solves this using a two-path deployment model:
โ IaC and GitOps for production workloads, using the governed pipeline your team trusts.
โ AI-powered Intent for ephemeral workloads, using natural language requests your team deploys within OPA policy guardrails.
Developers describe what they need. Policies evaluate the request. Your team provisions non-critical environments without a ticket.
The platform team no longer acts as a bottleneck, and production stays governed.
Spacelift is running a free webinar on April 8 on how this two-path model works and how teams use Spacelift Intelligence to keep infrastructure at the same pace as AI development.

๐ฅน One of my subscribers paid 75k INR to learn DevOps and still regrets it!
When you're trying to learn something as complex and in-demand as DevOps, it can feel like you're drowning in options. ๐คฏ
โ Do you shell out big bucks for a bootcamp?
โ Hunt for an affordable course?
โ Dive headfirst into free YouTube tutorials?
โ Or just tough it out with endless documentation?
Honestly, itโs a tough call, and there's no single "right" answer for everyone.
But then I saw this comment from one of my subscribers, and it really hit.
This resonated so much because it perfectly captures a common frustration. This person paid 75,000 INR across three different institutes and still felt like he wasn't getting the detailed, valuable explanations he needed.
And then they found the content on my YouTube channel and felt genuinely helped, for free.
It makes you think, doesn't it?
Sometimes, the most expensive path isn't always the best path.
And that's exactly why I started my YouTube channel. My goal has always been to break down complex DevOps topicsโlike CI/CD, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, etc., which is what the subscriber was talking aboutโinto clear, detailed, and accessible lessons.
No gatekeeping, no hidden fees, just valuable education for anyone who wants to learn.
You can find a ton of in-depth tutorials, walkthroughs, and explanations there that I pour my heart into, absolutely free. Because everyone deserves quality learning, regardless of their budget.
But I also know that some folks prefer a more structured, all-in-one approach. Maybe you want everything laid out from A to Z, with quizzes and exercises to really cement the knowledge. For those who want that comprehensive, guided journey, I do have a Udemy course. And trust me, Hitesh Choudhary and I made sure it's always available at a heavily discounted price. Because, again, it comes back to that core belief: free or affordable education for everyone.
I am not against the premium high-priced courses; every creator deserves the right to set the price as per them. However, I feel like entry barrier should be low so that anyone can join and learn.
So, whether you're just starting your DevOps journey or looking to deepen your skills, don't feel pressured to break the bank. Explore all your options. Dive into the documentation. Check out free resources. And if you're curious, come hang out on my YouTube channel โ you might just find exactly what you've been looking for, without spending a single rupee.
๐ Check out my free tutorials here: lnkd.in/g7azYmZg

What's your take? Have you had similar experiences with paid courses vs. free content? Let's chat in the comments! ๐

We are now 80k strong on YouTube ๐ช
(long post alert) ๐จ
When I started my channel 4 years back, I did not think even a single person will watch my videos
Then I realized my parents are watching each and every video even though they don't understand much English.
Till today, they watch all my videos, no matter the length.
That was the biggest motivation for me to start.
What kept me going? Many people would say it's the money, but only a content creator would understand how much YT ads pay for a small channel like mine.
If you keep doing it for money, you will be burned out soon and think, "Is it even worth it?"
Why do I do it then? I do it because it helps me with upskilling myself and doing something for the community, and when I get messages like "Your videos helped me get a job" or "It helped me get the promotion," etc., it just makes my day beautiful. Now I have a motivation, a purpose, and the power to keep doing it.
It gives me dopamine, the same reason why we watch TV or play video games for hoursโbecause it gives us instant gratification/a dopamine kick.
I spend more than I earn; I have a team of 5 amazing people who help me grow this channel. I was doing all of these by myself, but I was burning out; I was hardly getting any sleep, so I had to bring in more people to help me speed up the content delivery.
Everything comes at a cost; I have to pay them recurring salaries, and sometimes I have to do it out of my pocket, as the ad revenue is not sufficient.
With a 9-5 job, family, 2 kids, and other house chores, there's literally no time left to create content. I had to take some decisions and stopped watching TV, cricket matches, and anything that doesn't fall in these 3 categories. Friends and family, office and self-learning, health and future.
I started waking up at 4 in the morning, as that's the only time when my kids are sleeping. Now, I record all my videos early morning (7 days a week); I wake up before the sun โ๏ธ and it changed my life.
YouTube has not just helped me with content creation but also given me access to the amazing educators in the field who have always supported me , guided me, and mentored me in this journey. Forever thankful for everyone
Hitesh Choudhary Shubham Londhe Abhishek Veeramalla, Praveen Singampalli , Piyush Garg Vinod Sharma Sandip Das Dheeraj Choudhary Manu Arora Savinder Puri Vineet Joglekar Ankush Dharkar Mumshad Mannambeth Andrew Brown Vishakha Sadhwani , Mutha Nagavamsi , Rishab Kumar Gurumoorthy Raghupathy ,Ravish Rawat, Vikash Kumar, Gaurav Sharma and many more (sorry if I missed your name)
Last but not least, my better half, Himani Chauhan who supported me for everything I do or plan to do. It wouldn't have been possible without her. โค๏ธ
I am not sure whether I'd hit the 100k mark before the year ends, but I'm putting all my power into making that happen. A lot of interesting and most requested playlists are on the way.
Thank you for all the support. Forever grateful โค๏ธ

You just have to trust the process!
Your goal should not be to get into FAANG or a remote job or work from home with good pay or YC startups. Your goal should be to upskill, whatever it takes.
You should be creating the system that works for you in the long run, no shortcuts , no roadmap to success in 21 days , no click bait scheme. Only a system that takes from one place to another.
