Seriously… do you actually think this is worth it?

Do you really believe throwing in a few sexual scenes automatically makes a movie better? If that’s your entire strategy to keep the audience interested, then you’ve completely misunderstood what good filmmaking is.

A strong story, memorable characters, and genuine emotion make a film worth watching—not cheap shock value.

As for this teaser… it’s one of the weakest I’ve seen this year.

Worst teaser of the year.

If the film is anything like this teaser, it could easily end up among the biggest disappointments of the year.”

What did I just watch? Let me simplify what I actually watched.

A movie that keeps talking… and talking… and talking, pretending it’s saying something profound. Lots of noise, lots of “blah blah blah,” trying to make it look like the market is about to explode… but in reality, it’s just plain bullshit.

And the constant “ladies this, ladies that” messaging? It gets so forced that instead of telling a good story, it feels like the movie is lecturing the audience.

Just write a good film first. Everything else can come later.

I had already predicted many things earlier in my video, and honestly it spoiled my mood a little — but still, it was fun to watch. Now that the full discussion has started, we’ll soon talk properly about where the story is heading next.

And for everyone who kept saying Kartik is the villain — I told you before, he isn’t. Now you’ve seen it yourself.

Overall, Ekaki turns out to be a fun, time-pass binge watch. The first half (around four episodes) leans more toward comedy, while the final episode finally brings the serious tone and works much better. Considering this is a creator stepping into long-format storytelling, the effort is clearly visible.

I also want to congratulate Ashish Chanchlani for trying something new beyond comedy sketches. Wishing the entire team the best of luck for Season 2 — hoping the story goes even deeper from here.
