Official Supermassive Games Ranking (Best To Worst)
1. Little Hope - I think my only really hot take in general, love the themes and its exploration of mental health.
2. Until Dawn - Very iconic, I watched so many playthroughs of this as a younger person, but I never got my own blind playthrough, which kind of makes me bitter
3. House of Ashes - Just fun. Really goes for it, which I admire, one of the better sets of characters as well.
4. The Quarry - Very silly and goofy, which is its biggest strength and weakness, I can't tell if I want it to take it itself more seriously or not.
5. Directive 8020 - I think this one has room go go up on the list, easily the best full set of characters, npc characters ar actually decent, Cooper ❤️, fun story, turning points I actually came around on, especially as someone who sucked at the stealth segements not having to replay the whole game to do those over wad amazing, the ending showdown might be better than any other game either, but that first hour and a half was so boring to me, that what brings it down, it's the newest so I have a lot to say.
6. The Casting of Frank Stone - This one left a great first impression on me and after that, just kind of forgot about it, has a lot of fun moments, but I feel like the 2024 stuff wasn't interesting enough until the last chapter, Stan was fun, loved Bonnie, but they have to die, the only main cast members I can say I really liked were Sam Green and Linda, I feel like this whole game would've been better if it was just the 1980s timeline fleshed out.
7. Man of Medan - Conrad is awesome. Olson is a great human antagonist. Everyone else - meh city. It's a decent little game, though. It's weird to put it this low, considering I've played through it more than any other on this list.
8. The Devil in Me - This game isn't bad. I just hate how Dumet is somehow one man, and somehow everywhere. I don't play these games for realistic stories, but this one really drove me insane. I like Jamie, Erin, and Charlie, though. Which sucks because they really want you to care about Mark and Kate. Which I don't.
9. Hidden Agenda - Short. It's fine. After playing Heavy Rain, this feels hollow in comparison.
Pre-ordered Life is Strange Reunion and Directive 8020. It's going to be a great year for story based games, hopefully 🤞 Also check out my Life is Strange Plushes Unboxing video!!!
Here are my old middle school renditions of what I thought Mario Kart and Smash Brothers for then NX (now Nintendo Switch) would look like. I remember my idea for Mario Kart 9 was a story mode similar to Mario Kart DS' mission mode. And for Smash, I was right about Banjo, but I'm still waiting on Waluigi, Toad, and Shadow. Thank God we got Piranha Plant though 🤭
