BTSATURDAY is live on Patreon tonight 💜



I know this is a little short notice, especially for my ARMY across the world, but I wanted to start building the new home for these longer BTS streams.

Every Patreon livestream will still turn into at least one full YouTube video per week, so everyone will still get to follow the journey.

ARMY 💜 BTSATURDAY is changing a bit.

This week, we’re starting with the first LouieLesson on “SWIM.” I’ll walk you through the music, the chords, the repetition, and why the song feels so floaty and unresolved. I’ll also demonstrate what I’m hearing live so y’all can hear the tension and movement for yourselves.

Then we’ll listen to all 7 versions of “SWIM,” and after that we’ll go back to interviews. Requests are still welcome, but they’ll only happen after all 7 versions have been reacted to.

I’ll also be LIVE on both YouTube and Patreon for this stream. Over time, BTSATURDAY will slowly move more toward Patreon so we can have more flexibility and build a better space for deeper BTS content.

I wasn't prepared for the amount of multitasking required last time. Haha So during reactions, I’m gonna lock in so I can really give these the attention they deserve.

Quick note about today’s BTSaturday being in two parts.

I originally recorded all three Tiny Desk performances (BTS, RM, and V) in one sitting, so yes — it was one long reaction. But the full video ended up being almost an hour long, and it felt like there were really two different experiences happening.

Part 1 focuses on the Tiny Desk home concerts with BTS and RM and the live band.

Part 2 is V’s Tiny Desk Korea performance, which has a completely different Layover-era vibe.

So I split the video so each performance could breathe a little more.

Part 2 premieres tonight at 10 PM Mountain Time (2 PM in Seoul).
I’ll be hanging out in the live chat if anyone wants to watch it together.

Before we jump into the podcast tonight, I want to say something quickly.
As most of you know, my wife and I were expecting. We did lose the baby recently.
We’ve taken time off to grieve privately. We’re together. She’s okay physically. We’re healing.
I’m not going to go into details, and I won’t be revisiting it on stream. I just wanted you to hear it from me.
And tonight is bittersweet because we’re also celebrating Podcast of the Year… which means this community showed up in a big way.
Life can hold grief and gratitude at the same time.
And I’m grateful to be back with you. Ill see you ‪@StreetChamps‬ tonight.

Nearly 100 subscribers in half a day with ZERO videos is honestly crazy, only one group of people could’ve made that happen. That kind of growth doesn’t come from algorithms, It comes from trust.
