(R.I.P) Sam Neill
Sept 14 1947- July 13 2026
Sam Neill passed away this morning after an illness. He had a career that spanned 5 decades. For the horror community that included In the mouth of madness, Omen 3 The Final conflict, One of my personal favorite films Possession from 1981, Dead Calm & of course the Jurassic Park franchise.
R.I.P to Sam Neill. He will be missed & definitely remembered.

Obsession (2026) *Spoiler warning*
I finally got the chance to sit down & watch the 2026 sensation thats captured the imagination of practically everyone.
And what I have to say about it is....WOW!!!
This is by far the best film that ive seen this year. It goes beyond horror. Obsession is not a horror film.
However it is beyond horrifying as well as very sad at the human level. I found myself feeling very bad for Nikki. Imo The biggest villian in this film is Bears "friend" Ian. This guy is a total slime. Ian is the epitome of what I hate about human beings in general. Literally everything that Ian does involving everyone around him in this film is to suit his own agenda.
So I loved watching Nikki blow his ass away.
My only problem with this movie imo is the ending. I would've ended it where Bear becomes now obsessed with Nikki. Let the audiences imagination figure out the rest. Like whats going to happen to do with the bottle of pain killers that he just ingested. Let us think & talk about that because hes definitely not going to come out of that unscathed.
But did he take enough to kill him? Would he have died that quickly? Idk...But leaving us with that talking point would've been alot of fun & would've been the best way to go imo.
Great film! I usually never go above an 8 out of 10 even with alot of my favorites in my rankings but 2026s Obsession & The Substance from a couple of years ago I will make this exception for.
Obsession 2026 is a 9 out of 10 imo.
