What's wrong with the UFC Weight Division Ranking Champions?
When a Fighter becomes a Champion then he fights with another Champion from another weight division to have a chance to be a double Champion.
In the Lightweight Division Islam Makhachev became the Champion after winning Charles Oliveira. Also that time Alex Volkanovski became the Champion in the Featherweight Division after winning Max Holloway. Then Volkanovski fought Makhachev in the Lightweight Division and lost and they gave him another chance to be a double Champion and lost again, as they shouldn't. Then Ilia Topuria came out and won Alex Volkanovski and became the new Champion in the Featherweight Division in 2024.
In 2024 Arman won Oliveira so he deserved to fight for the belt in the Lightweight Division against Makhachev but instead they put him against Dan Hooker in 2025, very strange..🤨. In 2025 after Maddalena became the new Champion in the Welterweight Division, he fought against Makhachev and Makhachev won so he became a double Champion.
But what do they show in the rankings?
In the Featherweight the current Champion is Alex Volkanovski instead of Ilia Topuria🤨. In the Lightweight Division is Ilia Topuria instead of Islam Makhachev🤨. And in the Welterweight Division is Islam Makhachev.
Another strange thing is when Khamzat Chimaev won the fight against Gilbert Burns and then he fought Kamaru Usman for the Middleweight Division instead🤨. Khamzat should have fought Usman in the Welterweight first and then fight for the belt against Leon Edwards. But instead they put him against Robert Whittaker and then against Dricus Du Plessis in which he won both and became the Champion in the Middleweight Division.
The fights that should have been made for the Welterweight Division are:
1. Kamaru Usman vs Khamzat Chimaev 2. Leon Edwards vs Khamzat Chimaev 3. If Khamzat won then fight against Belal Muhammad 4. If Khamzat won then defend title against Jack Della Maddalena 5. If Khamzat won again then he should have fought Islam Makhachev and that match would be one of the biggest matches in UFC!
In the Middleweight Division Khamzat or Makhachev should have fought against Dricus Du Plessis.
All the Champions of all Weight Divisions should be given a chance to fight other Champions of a maximum 2 Divisions below or above their Division so that they might have been Triple Champions!
Who do you think is the best footballer of all time? Can you rank these players?
Choosing the best footballer, you have to consider the Player’s overall control of the ball, which is dribbling and technical skills. Is NOT about overall skills in general because that doesn't have to do with the movement of the ball. The best player is the player that can move around with the ball the most efficiently and he's a master in 1v1 scenarios.
🥇I've chosen Messi because I think he's the king of the overall ball control movement and in 1v1 scenarios. He mainly plays in the center of the field and creates chances.
🥈Pele is the king of attack with the best finishing and in my opinion, second best master of ball control movement.
🥉Maradona close and more similar to Messi but not so efficient and accurate as him.
🏅Ronaldo is very close to Pele and 2nd best Attacker with master ball control movement and Great finisher.
🏅Neymar and Ronaldinho are players that like to do a lot of skill tricks and not just passing the other Players. They are the most fun to watch but in my opinion Neymar is slightly more accurate and efficient than Ronaldinho but Ronaldinho is more passionate in his game.
🏅Zidane is a master of ball control but he has not so much movement and he's slow but he's a player with the least amount of mistakes as he rarely loses the ball or misses passes or shots.
🏅Cristiano is a great player overall but is not a master of control like the rest of the list, he makes more mistakes, he likes to do a lot of tricks and he has good skills like Ronaldinho and Neymar and he also has good ball control movement skills but not even close to Messi. Also he's not even close to Ronaldo or Pele in terms of Attacking and finishing.
Everyone is questioning if Jake's fights are rigged or not but the truth is that 3 of his fights were rigged. The following fights were rigged (explained):
1. Jake Paul vs Andre August W KO 1st round (December 15th 2023). In this fight, they told Andre to take a dive simply for easy money 💰. You can easily see that in the fight Andre was bending his head too low multiple times like an amateur so that Jake will have more chance to land a knockout punch. 2. Jake Paul vs Ryan Bourland W TKO 1st round (March 2nd 2024). Same scenario Ryan accepted to lose for easy money 💰. You can clearly see during the fight that Ryan was not physically fit because he didn't even get trained for the fight and he wasn't even trying to punch but more defending. 3. Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson W UD 8 rounds (November 15th 2024). In this fight Jake Paul have been told to take it easy on Mike Tyson and test him to see how good he is and if he's even a threat. Once Jake Paul realised that he wasn't in a threat you can clearly see that Jake was giving him more time to recover by just standing and looking at him. Jake threw some strong punches and Mike was almost got knocked out so Jake gave him more time to recover.
In the end for Jake is all a business and his main goal is to try to bait people by making them hate on him from some of the things he's saying and from he's overall attitude and behavior. But the truth is that he's a smart guy and he's training hard, wanting to improve and he understands well the levels of boxing so he's picking fights wisely knowing he's levels above from his opponents so he can continue baiting the people that continue to hate him.
🟡Usyk 37 years old, 6'3, 78 in, boxing record: 21-0-0(14KO) 🟤Joshua 34 years old, 6'6, 82 in, boxing record: 31-3-0(25KO) 🟢Fury 35 years old, 6'9, 85 in, boxing record: 35-0-1(24KO)
Analysis: 🟡Usyk is currently number 1 because he won Joshua twice clean. He won Dubois, Chisora, Bellew, Gassiev and some other great boxers in the past and some younger boxers now 🟤Joshua won Parker, Ruiz, Whyte, Klitschko, Pulev and some other great boxers in the past and some young boxers now. 🟢Tyson Fury won Klitschko, Wilder, Chisora, Whyte and some great boxers in the past and some younger boxers now.
From the boxing record looking at which fighters they beat the most impressive is from Joshua. All of the 3 fighters have similar records with similar boxing skills. To choose who's better we have to determine the boxing skills and what elements of boxing performance to win before and during a boxing fight. Boxing styles are also important for winning a fight, that's why they say "styles make fights" you have to prepare different for each opponent. Another important factor is the physical attributes which can give fighers a slight advantage when it comes arm length or overall body size that can make the boxer slower/faster in his movement and can also affect his cardio.
Boxing skills: [ Power-Speed-Cardio-Technique,Boxing IQ ]
The most important of these elements is the Boxing IQ because the Mind is everything, is the way you move and analyzing your opponent well. It's actually the main factor for the boxing performance during the fight, in order to perform well and use all the skills you have, you need to have a good boxing IQ and be mentally ready (feeling good/healthy) with a strong mentality. Technique is the second most important which includes everything in boxing. Speed comes third which is how fast are your punches when attacking and how fast you move your body when defending. Power is not as important because the average power is enough to knock someone out, so it depends more on the technique. Cardio again is not as important because it depends on your technical abilities on how you maintain your energy.
🟡Usyk is the most technical and he shows the best boxing IQ. He's power and speed is good and cardio too. He's fighting style is 'Boxer Puncher' which means he's more unpredictable, he can mix everything up, having better hand speed, overall defense and accuracy. This style doesn't help to have the mobility and defensive expertise of a pure boxer, so is the most unique and weird style.
🟤Joshua is the fastest with the most power and at the same time with an excellent technique and great boxing IQ and good cardio. He's fighting style is a 'Brawler' which means he has the best balance so he can generate the most power, he rely mostly he's power and when defending he can be more exposed. He's more dangerous and he will most likely KO but with higher risk of be KOed.
🟢Fury is the most elusive fighter of the 3, he can hit but he is hittable. He's speed and cardio is great, he shows a good boxing IQ and good technique. He's fighting style is an 'Out Boxer' which means he often stays out of boxing range and he can show a great timing. Is a defensive type of fighting and the most cautious to hit and not get hit with lots of faints and movements. He focus more on accurate punching than knockout punches.
The most important factor to win a boxing match is your overall psychology, if you are feeling ready and healthy and you are mentally strong. That's why before the fight, fighters try to mess each other's mind by playing mind games and using manipulation. If you know how to control your ego under pressure and you know how to play mind games and use social pressure in your favor, then you can be beaten mentally.
2nd most important is how much work you put on training, how effective was it and how good is your trainers, to see your flaws and be able to improve quickly.
3rd most important is your gameplan which is knowing how to analyze your opponent well and prepare accordingly to capitalize on the weak points of your opponent and take advantage of all the chances you have.
Overall to choose who's the best we have to see all the 3 fighters with their best performance. So if all of them perform their best during the boxing match then it all comes down to their boxing skills. So from the overall analysis of the boxing skills Usyk seems to possess the best Boxing IQ and Technique which are the most important elements. He's fighting style will not play a significant role and he's physical attributes can give him a slight advantage due to the fact that he's little bit smaller so he can move around more effectively with more cardio. A good example of the advantage of the physical attributes is Mike Tyson for being only 5'10 and beating much bigger opponents. Second place I will put Fury because stylistically he's defensive expertise will play a huge role on AJ's offensive approach to knock him out, same like what happened with Wilder which it will almost be in his favor, but AJ's technical ability will make it very difficult for Fury. I think if these 2 fight Fury will probably win by decision because he will be able to hit more and not get hit. Only if AJ finds a way to knock him out which is very possible but very difficult.
