I'm a sculptor and visual artist passionate about bringing characters to life through clay. I sculpt and paint hand crafted figures with a love for detail and quality, aiming to capture more than likeness - I try to sculpt mood, presence and soul.
I like the feeling of creating something with my own hands, and the quiet intensity of the creative process.

The name "Crafty Art" was born from the idea of patiently working your craft until it becomes art.
On this channel, I share the journey behind each artwork. It isn't just about the finished sculptures; it's about the process, the struggles, the imperfections, and the satisfaction of seeing something take shape right in front of your eyes.
It's about the passion for making human art in a digital world that moves too fast.

Thank you for being here and I hope you'll enjoy my works as much as I enjoy making them!

Thank you all so much for the feedback on my latest video guys! I'll be answering here the most frequently asked questions.

1. What clay are you using?
I'm using Monster Clay medium and hard grade. It's an oil based clay that changes its consistency with temperature. It becomes soft when heated and hard when cold. It's doesn't harden over time, it will keep the same consistency overall so you can either stock it on a shelf or reuse the clay.

2. Can I buy this sculpture?
Unfortunately not, it's not for sale.

3. Will you paint it?
I know you would like to see it painted, but in order to do that it would have to be cast in a more durable material. Honestly I don't have the experience and skills to mold a sculpture like this, it would take a professional mold maker to do it and there's no one like that in my area.
This was just intended to be a one off and it will be kept in clay form. It is possible to paint over the clay but it would be very difficult to get in some areas and it's likely to damage the sculpture in the process especially when it comes to smaller details, so it will remain like this.

4. What is the liquid you're applying and what is it for?
The liquid is Zippo lighter fluid, you can see the container throughout the video. Its purpose is to soften the surface of the clay, make it uniform and remove tool marks.

5. How long did this take you to make?
It took me about a month to finish the sculpture and probably another month to go through all the process videos and edit the final video.
If anyone is interested in seeing the whole process there are 20 videos available on my Patreon with every step in the creation of this sculpture. You can access all of them for $5 if you go to www.patreon.com/CraftyArt

6. Do you take commissions?
I'm not taking commission work at the moment.

I think that's about it, if you have any other additional questions let me know. Cheers!

I've been practicing anatomy quite a bit lately. This is how my desk looks right now.

So many of you asked me to post more videos, and I wanted to address that. While I would love to post more frequently, traditional sculpting is a meticulous process that requires a lot of time. Not only that but I have to sculpt, mold, cast, and paint, while recording the process, then edit hours of videos, and I am just one guy. I won't post anything for the sake of having content if that means sacrificing quality over quantity. I need to take my time, and I hope you understand why I don't want to rush anything. Anyways I just wanted to let you know my thoughts.
Thank you for understanding and for your interest in my work. I really appreciate it!

Working on some new dynamic poses. I actually like how this one turned out so far. Can you guess what movie is this pose from?
