A change of direction. I first started Namaste Mountaineering on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. I had a vision that I wanted to be a guide and lead people out of their daily stresses and onto these beautiful mountains all around the world. Focusing on mindfulness and the endorphins released from pushing hard, being in the moment and achieving something great. Since then I’ve developed as a person, I’ve got my Mountain qualifications, I’ve guided on big mountains as well as a lot of local to Ireland mountains. I started a YouTube channel during lockdown to keep me busy but it has evolved and grown so much and I am getting so much enjoyment from creating content and the places it is taking me to create it. So what does this mean for Namaste Mountaineering? Well going forward my big focus is going to be creating content and exciting adventures to share with you. I will still be offering expeditions and rock climbing experiences but less frequent. I’ll be focusing more on my personal goals and documenting the journey. You may have noticed I’ve changed the name to just my name, Adam Shand. That’s who I am, that’s who’s creating the content, who’s sharing his tips, his opinions on gear, not a business but a person. Going forward everything you see will be by Adam Shand Thank you for your continued support and sticking around 🙏
