Marketing isn’t broken; it’s been hijacked.
The Marketing Accountability Council (MAC) is where strategy grows a spine. We expose the performative fluff, call out the attention theft, and build a better way forward—one that doesn’t burn people out or sell them out.
On this channel, you’ll find:
– Jake Sanders’ Marketing Metaphorest— smart, unforgettable
– Short takes on ethics, pricing lies, brand delusions, and communication sanity
– Culture check-ins that ask: Are we building trust or just chasing clicks?
If you’re tired of marketing that manipulates, flatters, or pretends—subscribe.
We’re not optimizing for engagement. We’re optimizing for integrity.

What you’re seeing in that video isn’t just someone being “entitled” or “dramatic.” It looks a lot like someone in the middle of a neurological spiral—someone whose brain literally won't let them self-regulate under stress. And if you’re a parent to a neurodivergent kid? You’ve probably seen the early warning signs of this play out in smaller, everyday ways.
Here's what’s actually going on beneath the chaos:
Executive dysfunction: She can’t filter her thoughts, shift gears, or stop talking. She’s locked into a defensive script and can’t break out.
Emotional dysregulation: Every challenge or interruption feels like a personal attack. Her responses escalate because her nervous system is in threat mode.
Rejection sensitivity: She keeps bringing up her status, who she knows, what she's accomplished. That's not arrogance—it’s a desperate grasp at validation.
Perseveration: “What did I do?” on repeat. She’s not just being difficult—her brain is stuck. That loop is neurological, not logical.
Masking/unmasking collapse: Whatever social mask she held up earlier in the night has shattered. What we see is the raw, unmanaged version.
Now… here's the uncomfortable part:
The internet will label her everything from a narcissist to a Karen. But if you’ve lived with someone who has ADHD, BPD traits, or an emotional disability, you can spot it instantly. She isn’t built for high-conflict moments—she melts down. It’s not a choice. It’s wiring.
And this is where it hits home:
I see this in my son. Maybe you do too.
You fight for him to have support, to be understood—not punished for reactions he can’t yet control. You teach him to pause, to ask for help, to try again. Because you know that without that scaffolding, he could end up like her—on the internet, in handcuffs, surrounded by people who just see “crazy” and “difficult.”
What this woman needs (and likely never got):
Consistent behavioral intervention
Trauma-informed support
Accountability with empathy—not shame
Friends who don’t just react, but understand the signs
You’re not making excuses when you see this differently. You’re seeing it honestly—as someone who knows what it’s like when the world misunderstands your kid.

In this episode of "What Gets Measured," host and founding MAC Member @jacobsanders1298 and Tom Rosholt delve into the intricate world of advertising ethics and Truth in Advertising.
Key Points:
Why Truth in Advertising Matters: Consumers dislike deception, false advertising is illegal, truth levels the playing field for competition, and truthful communication builds more substantial brands.
Unearthing Truth: Quality communication and understanding customers, not just data analysis, are crucial for finding truthful insights for marketing campaigns.
The Shift Away from Truth: Societal emphasis on profit over human connection has led to a decline in truthful advertising. "Drift is a phenomenon in which a product initially delivers but quality degrades over time.
Truth and Data: Misinterpreting data and statistics can lead to bad marketing decisions.
Is it Personal or Structural?: Tom believes the issue is personal. Individuals make choices that contribute to a culture of dishonesty within organizations. Change needs to happen at the individual level.
The entire podcast episode discusses:
Tom's strategies for helping clients find marketing truths.
Why data is a valuable tool for creativity.
How truth can be a competitive advantage.

The solar eclipse buzz was everywhere, but the mass gatherings felt... impersonal. Then I saw meteorologist Pete Sack's coverage. It wasn't a show, it was pure passion for science on display. This got me thinking - what if we all had that level of passion for our work? Join the conversation about the eclipse and the importance of finding your spark! #SolarEclipse #PassionAtWork
