My goal today was to film a "How to Care for Yoshino Cherry" video. Mother nature has other plans. Snow was not in the forecast, just colder. It was 80* here yesterday. The Yoshino flowers will look bad after the freeze tonight. Maybe next year. :(

I owe viewers an apology because I have not created a video in almost a month. My Grandfather past away at the first part of December, then I had the flu, then my daughter had the flu, and then my wife needed knee surgery. December was a rough month. I am working on some content this weekend.

A HUGE shout out to Dr. Brian Brown for spending half a day with me giving me tips on lighting and filming. Over the past few months I have reached out to people smarted than me about film to critique my channel. The consensus was your content knowledge and explanations are top notch. However, you need to work on your production and post production value. This is the first step in a process to create more engaging content. Dr. Brown focused on creating depth in the shot with camera aperture and background lighting so that I do not "bleed into my background". This process naturally draws the viewers eye to the subject. We are still working on getting it perfect but here is a preliminary before and after.

I have been doing my best to post a video every Saturday morning and Tuesday morning. I always push the edge with what I can squeeze out of a day and have a minor health set back this week that has me behind. I'm hoping to shoot a quick video tomorrow in between church and The Masters to share. I am hoping to get back on the normal schedule next week. Until then happy gardening!!!!
