Tomorrow I’ll be joining Josh Zeman and Joe Giacalone as we continue our discussion of Long Island cold cases.
We have some new material to share and a few questions we’d love the community’s help thinking through. These conversations have already generated valuable information, and we’re looking forward to seeing where this one leads.
Hope you’ll join us.

A quick update from Winters Brothers Stories.
We also have an upcoming cold case collaboration that we’ll be announcing later this week. I think you’re really going to enjoy what’s coming.
After that, I’m looking ahead to my next long-form investigation, and I’d love your input.
1️⃣ The Death Investigation of Kurt Cobain
I’ve spent years researching this case. In fact, I probably know more about the Cobain death investigation than I do the Gilgo case. I’d take a fresh look at the investigation itself, the evidence, the decisions that were made, and why people are still debating it decades later.
OR
2️⃣ Exploring Israel Keyes’ New York Connections
A research-driven look at what we actually know about Israel Keyes’ connections to New York, separating documented facts from speculation and examining the leads that continue to raise questions.
Which one would you rather see first? Vote below and tell me why. I read every comment.

Busy week here at Winters Brothers Stories.
We just re-released Mafia Cops Parts 1 & 2 with completely remastered audio. This was one of our earliest series, and I wanted to bring it up to the quality it deserved before combining everything into a complete collection.
This Sunday, we’ll also be joining Joe Giacalone and Josh Zeman to continue our conversations on Long Island cold cases, some familiar and some that don’t get nearly enough attention.
And finally… we’ve got a project announcement coming very soon. It’s something we’ve been quietly working on behind the scenes, and I’m excited to finally share what we’ve been building.
Thank you all for following along. There’s a lot more to come.

Next up is Medford Jane Doe, a case unlike any other. We know who murdered her, but we still don’t know her name. We’ll be exploring Hidden vs. Forgotten, forensic reconstructions, and why this case still matters today.
Also, this Sunday at 2 PM, I’ll be joining Josh Zeman and Joe Giacalone on their livestream to discuss Long Island cold cases. I hope you’ll join us. (Link to come soon)
Behind the scenes, we’re also working on a major collaborative project that I’m incredibly excited about. I’ll share more when it’s ready.

The Gilgo Families have created a Facebook page to promote the #A6730 bill that modifies the “Son Of Sam” laws.
Honestly it’s a lot more straightforward than I had thought. The current laws have been vetted and written after a Supreme Court decision and this modifies those laws to include Family and Ex Partners not just the offenders.

Who was the woman we now call Dix Hills Jane Doe?
On April 30, 1998, human remains were discovered in Dix Hills, New York. Investigators believe she may have been at that location for years, possibly dating back to 1993–1997. Nearly three decades later, she still has not been identified.
In this video, I examine the case, explore how someone can become a Jane Doe, and look at the circumstances that may have led her to Long Island.
Someone knows this woman. If any part of her story feels familiar, please share this video. The goal isn’t views. The goal is to give her name back.

Some victims leave behind photographs, records, and people who can tell their story.
Others leave behind almost nothing.
I am currently working on a video about Dix Hills Jane Doe, one of the cold cases now receiving renewed attention from District Attorney Ray Tierney.
Like the Valerie Mack video, this will be a victim centered investigation.
Not focused on who may have killed her.
Focused on who she was.
Because before she became “Jane Doe,” she lived a life under a real name. The challenge is that after more than thirty years, almost no record of that life appears to have survived.
What happens when no records survive?
That’s the question we’re going to explore.
