We are here to encourage and equip you to live the life you truly and deeply desire. One that is centered, present and fruitful.

Unhurried Living is about believing you have enough time for everything that truly matters...and then engaging your relationships, life and work from a full soul. (It isn't about moving at a snail's pace).

In fact, we'd say that an unhurried mind and heart can accomplish much more than a stressed or distracted one.

Busy is a matter of calendar. Hurry is a matter of soul.

REST DEEPER: Why do I so often feel more drained than energized? Can I find space for my soul to breathe?

LIVE FULLER: I have tried to fill my life with achievements, possessions, and popularity, and I feel emptier than ever. Where can I find fullness that lasts?

LEAD BETTER: How can I step off the treadmill of mere busyness and make real, meaningful progress in my life and work?

Rediscover the genius of Jesus' unhurried way of life and leadership.

Unhurried Living

We’ve heard it countless times—“The Lord is my shepherd.” But has the power of that image grown too familiar? In this week’s blog, we revisit the metaphor of Jesus as the Good Shepherd—not as a distant idea, but as a living reality.

What does it mean that he calls us by name, leads us out, and goes ahead of us? How can we learn to hear his voice in the noise of our everyday lives?

This post invites you to see Jesus with fresh eyes and hear him with renewed attentiveness. If you’ve felt alone or unsure in your faith journey, this is a reminder that you are never walking it alone.

Read the full blog, "How to Recognize the Voice That Brings You Life", and spend some time listening for the Shepherd’s voice in your own life.

What is the Christian life, really?

After 46 years of walking with Jesus, Alan shares a simple but profound insight:

“The Christian life is not about what you do but who you’re with—an ongoing, intimate relationship with Jesus at the center of every moment.”

What if faith isn’t a list of tasks to complete, but a daily invitation into communion with Christ?

👣 Are you living for Jesus—or with Him?
💬 In this post, you'll find stories, reflections, and a mentor’s question that might reshape your journey too.

We often rush toward answers, but what if spiritual formation begins by staying with the question?

This week on the blog, Gem shares how open-ended questions—held in God’s presence—can be a powerful way to invite transformation.

Here are four soul-searching prompts from What Does Your Soul Love? to help you slow down, listen, and wait with God.

Want to reflect more deeply? Read the full blog for all eight questions and practical ways to carry them with you this week.

One of Dallas Willard’s gifts to us was the reminder that we do best when we leave outcomes in God’s hands. We're called to be faithful in effort—not responsible for the results.⁣

Like a farmer who plants and waters but cannot force growth, we're invited to trust that God is already at work beneath the surface.⁣

In relationships, too, this trust matters. We can't control people (though we sometimes try). But relational depth grows in the soil of trust, not control.⁣

Waiting becomes a classroom of trust. As Eugene Peterson put it, “We wait for our souls to catch up with our bodies.” Waiting isn’t passive—it’s an active surrender to what only God can do.⁣

And surrender? It’s not weakness. It’s courage. It’s the daily practice of saying: “I trust You more than I trust my need to be in charge.”⁣

💭 Where in your life is God inviting you to release control? What might it feel like to trade striving for surrender?

Blessings to you this Palm Sunday!

A prayer for Palm Sunday (from the Book of Common Prayer, Anglican Church in North America):

Almighty and everlasting God, in your tender love for us you sent your
Son our Savior Jesus Christ to take upon himself our nature, and to
suffer death upon the Cross, giving us the example of his great humility:
Mercifully grant that we may walk in the way of his suffering, and come
to share in his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

I typically talk about what Presence is. It's being right here, right now. But what is Presence NOT?
.
It's not worrying about the future.
It's not fretting about the past.
It's not thinking about something else while someone is talking to you.
It's not multi-tasking.
It's not succumbing to distraction.
It's not escape.
It's not passing the buck.
.
Presence is being HERE, noticing what is actually happening, and then making a choice about what to do/be right NOW.
.
I don't typically make NOT lists. They seem negative and I like to skew positive. But looking at that list I see that I can struggle with any number of these.
.
Instead of judging myself I can notice and graciously turn my heart back to Presence.
.
Which of the NOT list items resonates the most with you? What others would you add?
.
I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
.
Blessings to you today!
