Aujourd’hui, je ressens une douleur profonde en pensant à ce qui se passe au Mali, particulièrement à Gao, à Bamako et au-delà.

​Combien de fois le peuple devra-t-il souffrir avant que la paix ne devienne plus importante que le pouvoir ? Les enfants veulent grandir. Les familles veulent vivre. Les communautés veulent célébrer leur culture. Mais la violence interrompt le cours de la vie, encore et encore.

​Quel que soit l'objectif — contrôle, territoire ou influence — rien ne pourra jamais remplacer la valeur d'une seule vie humaine. Ce ne sont pas seulement des reportages aux informations ; ce sont de vraies familles et de vrais avenirs qui sont brisés.

​Le Mali est riche de son histoire, de sa culture et de sa force. Il mérite la stabilité, pas la peur. Cette même douleur résonne du Niger au Burkina Faso et à travers tout le Sahel. Chaque région compte, chaque vie compte, et nous ne pouvons pas normaliser cette souffrance. Nous ne pouvons pas accepter que ce soit « tout simplement comme ça ».

​Puisse la paix revenir au Mali, au Sahel et dans toute l'Afrique. Que la sagesse l'emporte sur la violence. 🇲🇱 ❤️

Today, I feel a profound pain thinking about what is happening in Mali, especially in Gao, Bamako and Beyond.

​How many times must the people suffer before peace becomes more important than power? Children want to grow up. Families want to live. Communities want to celebrate their culture. But violence interrupts life again and again.

​Whatever the goal—control, territory, or influence—nothing can ever replace the value of a single human life.
These aren't just news reports; these are real families and real futures being shattered.
​Mali is rich in history, culture, and strength. It deserves stability, not fear. This same pain echoes from Niger to Burkina Faso and across the Sahel. Every region matters, every life matters, and we cannot normalize this suffering. We cannot accept that this is "just the way it is."
​May peace return to Mali, the Sahel, and all of Africa. May wisdom surpass violence. 🇲ali ❤️
