Coming This Week on Rooted Reflections
This week, I’m opening up about something very close to my heart — the power of saying “No.”
In my upcoming Reflections episode, I’ll be sharing:
Why saying no is so hard (and why it matters)How each no is also a yes — to yourself, your values, your peaceWhat saying no taught me in my personal journey and in fashionHow boundaries can become an act of empowerment and care for the planet
It’s a conversation on courage, clarity, and choosing with intention.
Stay tuned — the episode drops this Sunday.

What happens when a fashion-obsessed teen turns into a composting, slow-living advocate in Auroville?
This Sunday on Rooted by Arpitharai, I speak with Senjuti Chakraborty—designer, storyteller, and someone who left behind styling and speed for a life that’s slow, rooted, and intentional.
We talk about sustainability beyond fashion, slow lifestyle choices, unlearning beauty ideals, and how design shows up in every part of her life.
A refreshing and real conversation is coming your way.

This weekend was well spent.
We were invited to Krishna’s colleague’s home for dinner — and what a lovely evening it turned out to be. It was my first time meeting most of the people there, but the warmth and laughter made it feel like we’d known each other for much longer.
The food was delicious, but the conversations were even better.
We laughed a lot — mostly at each other, pulling legs in good fun. Kiki had a wonderful time playing with the other kids, while we adults swapped stories — about work, dogs, parenting, and everything in between.
It’s rare to find such genuine, easy company where you can just be yourself.
By the end of the evening, my heart felt full — of gratitude, lightness, and connection.
Here’s to more such memorable evenings.

What if I told you that the biggest change in your life can begin by doing nothing... to others? That’s what happened when I shifted my mindset and focused only on myself.
I didn’t ask anyone around me to change. But they did.Because transformation begins with presence, not pressure.
This episode is close to my heart—listen in on Rooted by Arpitharai.

This Sunday on Rooted by Arpitharai, I sit down with Laure, who’s been walking this path for 8 years.
We talk about mending what we own, making mindful fashion choices, upcycling, secondhand clothing, menstrual hygiene, and how the smallest shifts can lead to meaningful change.
This isn’t about doing it all—it’s about doing what we can, with what we have.
Episode out tomorrow on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.

Sometimes all you need is your girls, a roof over your heads, and no plans except being together.
They came over. We had the whole house to ourselves. No agendas—just catching up on each other’s lives, watching movies, chatting till 3 AM about everything and nothing.
We walked when we felt like it, ate when we were hungry, dressed up for fun, and took pictures like we were teenagers again.
My routines took a backseat, and honestly… I needed that.
This little pause, this loud laughter, these shared silences, and a whole lot of love—filled me up in the best way.
I didn’t realize how much I missed this kind of joy till I had it again.
Grateful for every moment. Girls’ weekends should be a ritual.
