Hello friends 🤍 Just popping on midweek to say hi! I hope you’re all having a beautiful week.
I wanted to let you know I’ll be taking a couple of weeks off from posting videos. We have an out-of-town business trip coming up, and I’ve been busy preparing, so I haven’t been able to film and edit like usual.
I’ll be back to posting videos at the beginning of May with some exciting preservation videos as we head into the season. I can’t wait to share them with you!

Hello friends! I’m so sorry, but there won’t be a new video this week. It’s been an incredibly busy work week, which unfortunately hasn't left any time for filming or editing.
On the bright side, we’ve spent the last couple of weeks expanding our garden areas! We’re really focusing on growing more of our own food this year, and it feels like spring is definitely in the air—even if we do have a freeze headed our way tomorrow!

Don’t worry, the content isn’t changing—it’s still me, just under a new name. I felt this new name better reflects what my channel is all about: home cooking from scratch, gardening, thrifty living, and doing our best to save a dollar along the way.

I wanted to let you know I’m taking a little holiday break from videos this week. Steven and I are soaking up some quiet, quality time together as we celebrate the holidays and our wedding anniversary.
We’re also getting ready for the 2026 Pantry Challenge starting January 1, and I can’t believe it’s already that time again! I’m so excited to share how we’re preparing and all the meals we’ll be making along the way.

Merry Christmas, friends 🎄
Thank you so much for being here, for watching, and for supporting our homestead this year.
Yesterday we enjoyed dinner at a small local restaurant we love and then went through our town’s drive-through Christmas light show—it was beautiful. Today we’re keeping things slow, putting a turkey breast in the smoker, and enjoying a calm day at home with old movies (and probably some football).

Just wanted to let everyone know that there will be no Saturday video this week. I am needing to get ahead of some stuff with work and unfortunately didn’t have any extra time to film & edit this week. I did post a fun short of some delicious syrup I made yesterday though. It was amazing!
