Ever struggled to get percentages right in AppSheet? 😅 Quick tip: AppSheet stores Percent values differently, so if you divide two Percent columns directly, your result can look “wrong.”
✅ Fix: convert them to decimals first, then divide.
Profit % = DECIMAL([Profit]) / DECIMAL([Sales])
Now your profit margin shows correctly every time. Save this for later, and share with someone building finance apps on AppSheet! 🚀
If you’re coming from Excel/Sheets, this one can trip you up. In spreadsheets, subtracting two dates gives days instantly. But in AppSheet, date subtraction returns a Duration — so wrap it with TOTALHOURS() and Divide by 24 to get the actual number of days. ✅
