The International Centre for Investigative Reporting (The ICIR), is an independent, non-profit news agency that seeks to promote transparency and accountability through robust and objective investigative reporting.
The ICIR’s mission is to promote good governance and entrench democratic values by reporting, exposing, and combating corruption.
The Centre is envisioned to be a catalyst in encouraging and fostering a tradition of journalistic excellence through creative investigative reporting, online publishing, and training programmes.

In the April 2025 attack on Zike community, 54 people were killed—18 of the victims were under 18. The violence left 12 injured, destroyed 163 rooms and 11 farms, and shattered families across all age groups. Zike continues to mourn and rebuild in the wake of this tragedy.
