Which would you rather take for a spin? 🤔

Was just sorting out some media and found this photo, one that I’d completely forgotten that I had ever taken. On one side, a shiny helicopter that I regularly dangled under to go help people that had got themselves into a bit of bother. On the other, a bike that regularly gets me into a bit of bother! 🤣 Suppose it’s a bit yin and yang.

What was your first bike? 🤔

I was just sorting out load of photos and found these beauties - me and my good friend Sean riding sports bikes in our yoof.

Bike #1 with a black Suzuki SV650. I bought it from “up north” from some dodgy geezer who clearly hadn’t maintained it, and who mugged off a very young and naive Ollie Moto. Knowing what I know now, there is no way it would have passed the fresh MOT that came with it, and I would not have bought it. The bike lasted a couple of months but then blew itself to pieces on the way back from watching the BSB at Mallory Park. Shame, it was fun to ride.

So, bike #2 was a Kwak Ninja 600. I absolutely loved that thing, rode it like a hooligan and went touring all over the UK with it. I didn’t have nice gear back then though, just a tent bungeed to the rear seat and my (quite clearly) oversized textiles. I think they were my Dad’s.

Happy times. Happy memories. I wish Sean still owned that Repsol VFR400 too. I’d buy it off him👌🏻

I won an award! I didn’t get the opportunity to brag about it at the time, so I’m going to do it now: I was only voted The Trail and Adventure Motorcycle Podcast Favourite Guest of 2023! 👊🏻

I’m a big fan of the TAMPodcast, and they’ve had some mega guests, so it’s pretty cool that I somehow won. The actual physical award may be tiny, but I’m still pretty humbled.

I doubt I’ll be able to defend my crown though having not been on there at all recently. Also, knowing Clive as well as I do, having used me to gain traction and fame for his channel I’m sure he’ll just discard me now. Never trust a SBW. Noel’s alright tbf.

It is currently dead though, and I haven’t yet found the time to fix it. Don’t worry, it will definitely be back on your screens at some point… breaking now.. requiring more fixing… 😂

A while back I went riding with my good mate Whitey. I don’t get to ride with him much nowadays, and it was a right laugh. It involved the normal stuff, you know, ride a bit, fall a bit… that kind of thing!

Ok, I know it’s taken me a while, but the Rally Duck Full HD series is finally complete! I managed to get a load of it finished off during my recent air-time whilst travelling around a bit, and it’s turned out all right if I do say so myself…

We didn’t make the race, as most of you already know, but we did build a killer bike that Harley-Davidson are still showing off around the place. If you’ve not seen any of the series yet then you’ve got 14 episodes to catch up on!

What’s next for the project? No idea, ask Aled 😂 We both feel like we need to finish what we started though, and it would be nice to actually see it race after all that hard work! Still the most aggresive thing I’ve ever ridden.

🚨 Announcement! 🚨 Soooo, I’m off on another adventure! Recognise this place? Hope so - I’ve rattled on about it for long enough… 😂

Yeah that’s right, I’m heading back to🇳🇵Nepal🇳🇵baby! I would have mentioned this sooner but with all this PCR rubbish I didn’t want to risk a false announcement. This trip will involve a lot of medicine and should be an interesting one to follow - it’s a new experience for me, and I’m very bloody excited.

Exactly what am I up to? All I’ll say for now is that I’m going to be on a mission with the Team 5 Foundation. I’ll reveal all when I get there, but if you want to get ahead of the game go and check them out!
