Throwback to the Modí premiere quick documentary I made a while back. It has a tribute to Johnny's late best friend Jeff Beck at the end. Modí is also available to rent right now online. This was Johnny's second time directing a full-length film. It has some big names in it too including Al Pacino and Steven Graham (played in Pirates & Public Enemies with Johnny.) It received 2 standing ovations at The San Sebastián Film Festival premiere.

It's set to release on November 13th.

The star-studded project features covers from Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Hozier, Imelda May, Johnny Depp, Dropkick Murphys, The Libertines, and more. Fifty percent of artist royalties will benefit the Dublin Simon Community. ‪@DublinSimonCommunity‬

The title refers to a name MacGowan wanted to use himself, and the project aims to honor his legacy, according to a statement by his wife Victoria ‪@VictoriaMaryClarkeAngels‬ ♥️

One of the best answers about meeting Jesus that I've ever heard. ✝️ Such an emotional moment. From actor Shia LaBeouf's interview after his arrest at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. This hit me in my heart as I watched. He is so unapologetic about his faith. I admire that. Yes, he's definitely controversial, and obviously dealing with some deep stuff. I really hope he gets back on track though. I love to see when people do that for themselves. ♥️ Robert Downey Jr. was actually around the same age when he got sober and got his life on track. I pray Shia can too. In turn, it helps so many other people struggling to see other's success, no matter where they come from. It's a positive thing.
Also, this coming from a celebrity and how Hollywood has been more controversial than ever right now, and for good reason, this may not be your thing to listen to. I get it. Like many of you, it's hard for me to forget all of that when watching any entertainment news lately. But this interview is so real. It's hard to explain the depth to it. It's a discussion with one of the most talented actors we have, and it's definitely rough. Not a polished PR stunt. If you or someone you know have dealt with addiction or understand the process of getting sober, you will recognize a lot here. One part of recovery I kept thinking about as I watched this, is that relapse is a part of recovery. It is. Shia is living that part of it right now I believe.

• My initial thoughts on Shia's interview from my last post. I am not great with words by the way guys, or explaining my feelings on things too well. So bare with me:

Shia did this sit-down right after his recent Mardi Gras arrest. I know he is a little controversial, but I have always liked Shia. He is honestly one of the greatest actors we have. Yes, he is almost too open sometimes, and you can tell he has trouble balancing that out. Or maybe it is the other way around and we just don't know how to take it sometimes? That is the type of thought-provoking conversation this is. I kept thinking about how much I wish he could sit down with Johnny Depp or Robert Downey Jr. since they have walked a similar path and are giving back in so many ways now.

I really admire how unapologetic he is about his spirituality and beliefs too. Especially his deep love for Jesus. It is not some fake polished PR stunt, just real. There are definitely some funny parts, but even through the humor and all, you see he is on the verge of getting back on the right path but still his own path. You can tell he is clearly going through it right now.
The energy here is the same vibe he put into his movie Honey Boy, which is honestly one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's heartbreaking how many child actors have almost been frozen in time from either being abused, or witnessing it, and so many other things we don't know happening at home too.

Also, I think many of us get the feeling sometimes that we shouldn't care so much just because they are famous. Or we feel like we are focusing too much on their personal lives. That all makes sense too. But the reality is that people like Shia are human beings just like us. They are put on display whether they or we like it or not, and that has an effect on all of us. It's okay to root for someone to do better, no matter who they are or where they come from. He is a real one. He isn't lying about that. I really do hope for the best for him. 🙏♥️
