I need to prepare the Dromies list, and of course there'll be an award for Cutest Baby in Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age. But that documentary is full of so many adorable baby animals that there's no way I could select the 5 nominees.

Since people always give me shit for nominations they disagree with, I made a strawpoll where you can pick up to five baby animals that YOU would want to see nominated for this award.

Anyway, now that I have your attention, I'm gonna ask you guys about a more serious matter:
The Paleontological Research Institution in Ithaca, New York, is facing closure if it cannot pay the mortgage of its Museum of the Earth by the end of this year. Think of how important that Nanotyrannus specimen was for science and where it would be without museums and research institutes: rotting away in some private collection, or maybe even destroyed to not take up space. That fate could befall over 7 million fossil items in the Museum of the Earth's collection if they don't reach their goal.

To everyone who speaks German, if you ever wanted to hear me YAP about the first Jurassic Park movie FOR 3 HOURS, now is your chance. I've been invited to the German podcast "Dinos, Dämonen & Doktoren", and they just... let me loose.
In preparation for this discussion I re-read the Crichton novel, rewatched the film's making-of, AND watched the 2022 documentary "Jurassic Punk" about the visual effects artist who kickstarted the switch to CGI. This is why I haven't done any review in the last months because I was preoccupied with this. At the same time, it showcases why I never made a YouTube video reviewing Jurassic Park itself because there is SO. MUCH. To adress. This is a 3 hour discussion and I STILL know that I missed stuff.

I'm not gonna attempt any more disputes because I don't know if they can threaten to strike my channel.

Before you get excited, I just wanna clarify: the only reason the Chinese dinosaur horror review is visible again is because I disputed the copyright claim and the restriction is paused (but remains demonetized) until the claimant responds. That could take only a few hours or several days because they have within 30 days to respond.
Last time I tried that with this video, after a few days the claimant just reiterated their copyright claim, and if that happens, I'm not gonna try to dispute it again because then it might risk something worse happening to the channel like a strike.
So the video might only be accessible for a limited time before it's gone forever (in its 39-minute-runtime clipshow format), but I have no way of knowing that time. Or maybe a miracle happens and a very sympathetic Youkou employee decides that a small commentary video means them no harm.

Well, guys, it was fun while it lasted (all two days of it), but once again the Chinese dinosaur horror movie video has been blocked worldwide. I'm telling you, it doesn't matter how far you tilt the footage. If you show more than 6 consecutive seconds of footage (which you kinda have to if you want to convey an action or animation), you're toast. And all those longer detected segments don't mean that I showed 10, 20 or even more than 60 seconds of consecutive footage, those are mostly just clusters of clips that are 6 seconds short each.

As I said in the pinned comment, this was my last attempt at uploading this video. I'm sick of reuploading this, seemingly being in the clear for days, only to then be blocked again. The version where I talk over just screenshots will have to remain the only version available on YouTube, but you can access the full version over the Google Drive link in the pinned comment of that video.

Alright, now that the Dromies are finished, here's another thing none of you asked for:
What you probably didn't know/don't remember is that I used to stream Among Us sessions with the Paleostream Discord on Twitch during the pandemic. I saved all these streams as Highlights (not VODs) on Twitch, but now Twitch is introducing a limit on how many hours of footage you can save as highlights, and is deleting excess videos.
So to prevent these from being lost forever, I've uploaded them all onto a separate YouTube channel, scheduled to release three videos per week. The backlog is so huge that it's gonna release videos all the way up to September.
