I created the Travels of Preston YouTube Channel under Travels in my Lifetime LLC umbrella to vlog my experiences and show travelers or would-be travelers the world. I'm proud I can show budget-friendly solo, group, couples, and family travel to everyday men and women.

Dead Sea

Making it to the Dead Sea was definitely a journey. It's absolutely 💯 worth it!
What is the Dead Sea, and why so famous?
The sea is called "dead" because its high salinity means no macroscopic aquatic organisms such as fish or water plants can live in it, thoug bacteria and microbial fungi are present.
Before you get into the water, look for the free mud on the beach. You don't have to buy any. Let it dry on you before getting into the water. Once in the water, be careful not to get water in your eyes.
Facts About The Dead Sea:
✨️ The Dead Sea Borders Two Countries.
✨️ It's the world's deepest Hypersaline lake.
✨️ You can float on water.
✨️ The Dead Sea is Drying Up 😢
From what I was told by my tour guide, you can only visit the Dead Sea from a hotel on location. If anyone was told something else, please comment below.

Getting to San Pedro from Belize City Airport.
You have 1 of 2 ways... boat 🚢 or airplane ✈️
You can take water taxi to San Pedro via Caye Caulker. You need to know you have to leave the airport and take a 10 - or 15-minute ride to the port. You must arrive and check in 30 minutes prior to your departure time. The next thing you need to know is the water taxi will make a stop at Caye Caulker first, which is a 1 hour long ride. Then, you will get off the boat and transfer to the San Pedro boat. The boat to San Pedro is a 30-minute ride.
If the boat is not your thing, you can take a 15-minute flight from the airport using @tropicair the process is very easy and simple.
In my opinion, I would choose the 15 minute flight to see the beautiful views of water. Especially if you don't plan on taking Amy helicopter rides.
