Its August - less than 10 months to go for the Prelims 2026.
1. If you haven't started the CSAT preparation yet, don't leave it for December/January.
2. Extensive practice before the exam will make sure that CSAT is not an eliminator for you.
3. This comprehensive batch on CSAT deals with complete Maths, Logical Reasoning, and English Reading Comprehension with PYQs and extensive question practice.
4. This complete course will be in English and in Hindi.
My Analysis of the UPSC CSE GS Mains Paper-II (Polity, IR, Governance, and Social Justice)
1. The paper was above average and the questions were not direct and straight forward. 2. PYQs of UPSC are extremely important. Parallel questions can be found out in the past. Example: Question on Attorney General is parallel to the question on CAG in 2024. Similarly, the comparison of US and Indian President is a similar question from the past. 3. Every year, at least one question is now being asked from the Acts and Laws. This year it was Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act. This gives more importance to the laws passed in the Parliament. 4. Extreme focus on Judgments of the Supreme Court. Earlier, UPSC used to ask about the topics and Judgments were used to supplement the answers. But now, direct questions are being asked based on the verdicts of the Court. 5. The concepts asked in Governance and Social Justice are much beyond simple gender and child issues. The questions require thorough understanding of the topics and not just a shallow undeerstanding of the topics. If you are not well versed with the concepts and if you are not following the issues round the year, you will find it hard to understand deep linkages. Newspaper and current affairs are indispensible. 6. More quote based questions are being asked across the paper. These quotes are based on the important documents and joint statements. Just a summary of issues won't help in such papers. You need to read between the lines and go beyond just the headlines. 7. Every single question required a thorough understanding. Its difficult to write 20 such questions in 3 hours span. |
First timers would have found this paper a bit more tough.
The major reason for anxiety, demotivation, and losing track in most of the UPSC, SSC and Banking aspirants is a lack of patience and instant gratification. Most of the aspirants don't see the larger picture and want instant results of their preparation. The school and the college exams used to give instant results. Studying 1 night before the exam and appearing the next day to pass was the core attitude.
Looking at the aura of Putin during the Alaska meet, I think only 3 Prime Ministers of India could exhibit that aura at the global stage: (in order in which they held the office) 1. J.L. Nehru 2. Indira Gandhi 3. Narendra Modi
Across the political spectrum, the statesmanship of these 3 Prime Ministers at the global stage is unprecedented in their respective ways.

The global crude oil prices have bottomed out. The next 2-3 years are expected to witness a major bull run in international crude oil prices.
I am not an astrologer, but this points out towards a major conflict brewing up in Middle East disrupting the global oil supplies.

UPSC Exam is biased in its own ways. Looking at today's Mains Essay paper and past CSAT papers, I can safely say:
1. CSAT is more advantageous for Science students.
2. Essay is more biased in favour of Humanities students.
