This show was not A family , it was OUR Family. Rooted so deep, for so long that even after the show ended , we followed everyone’s individual endeavors after because we felt like we knew them. I always talk about “Claire Huxtable” and I CONSTANTLY reference this show on this channel, because of the healthy, positive imagery that we were so blessed to witness. We could all resonate with the characters and “Theo” being the only son represented a black man growing up in a two parent, successful household. Many saw their son’s in Theo, their brothers , their friends , but most importantly , I feel like that good person that Theo represented on TV, we all knew that’s who he truly was.

Happy Mother’s Day To All The MOTHERS ;
I emphasize the word mothers because not every woman that gives birth to a child actively fulfills their role as a MOTHER, but for the ones that do I SALUTE YOU ‼️

For the aunties, step mothers, grandmothers, cousins, or other women in general who have stood in the gap to “mother” children whether you have children of your own or not I also SALUTE YOU ‼️

Motherhood is such a powerful and vital role. That calls you to not only be a caregiver, but also a nurturing, understanding, empathetic, intuitive, feminine role model

Mothers show their sons what a woman is and what to expect from women they will eventually encounter,

Mothers show their daughters what it means to actually BE a woman and how to navigate the world as one.
