Wow, what a crazy weekend I just had in Malmö.

Friday training was amazing and I was blowing up personal best times and setting some serious lap challenges for the rest of the team.

Then Saturday, morning training was awesome and I was sitting in the top 4 positions. We put on new tyres for Quali and it all went to sh$t!

So apparently, this is a thing in Sweden. They don’t hand out tyres from the same batch on race days. So this means that the tyres can vary in performance.

My training tyres were perfect and the rest of the team had a different batch. Then it all swapped around come qualifying and now I am slower and my team mate Elliot now sets poll for the day! 🤯

Then comes the psycho weather, we started in sunshine, rain for a few heats, then back to intermittent sun. It certainly mixes up the field!

All in all, amongst the frustrations I had fun. Realising my tyres were a major issue, I gave into the fact I could only do my best and enjoy the karting and battles.

I came 12th out of 18 in total. Kissing my podium plan goodbye after quali told me “not with these tyres”.

Next race is in Kristianstad in 2 weeks.

My lucky mascot (Baggio) is going back to the luck shop because he is defect and doesn’t work!

Just had the worst race weekend ever! So many mechanical errors I’ve lost count. Basically, I just need to fund a brand new kart and parts at this point.

I see why this is a rich man’s sport. I just hate the unfair injustice of not being a millionaire!
