Un día como hoy hace 20 años @JaciVelasquezOfficial estrenó #ChasingPapi (junto a Sofía Vergara, Roselyn Sánchez y Eduardo Verástegui) su debut cinematográfico en Hollywood 🎬 que no estuvo exento de controversia. Aquí les traemos un poco del contexto.
Jaci, que había dejado la escuela a los 9 años cuando su padre decidió emprender un viaje misionero alrededor de los Estados Unidos 👧 creció sola viajando y viviendo en la carretera, educada en la parte trasera del auto con cintas de video VHS 📺 mientras aprendía a cantar en los largos viajes y paradas se distraía viendo películas por lo que se hizo apasionada del cine 🎥 no tenía referencia de una vida “normal” más que lo que podía ver, a tal punto de empezar a romantizar cosas.
🤩Fanática del cine, por las experiencias contadas líneas arriba, se presentó la oportunidad de audicionar para cine, aunque ya había hecho apariciones en series, comerciales y programas de TV esta oportunidad era diferente, nadie la conocía en ese rubro, (aunque ya tenía un impresionante currículo en la música en inglés y español) impuso además condiciones: no besaría a nadie, no diría palabrotas, ni usaría atuendos reveladores 🤷♀️ A los productores no les gustan que les digan lo que deben hacer, o como se debe trabajar, ellos son los jefes, por lo que simplemente el casting no pasaría de ser una anécdota de vida, algo privado de ella, un pequeño “sueño cumplido” (El audicionar)
👏"Abre las puertas por las que quieres que cruce y cierra las puertas por las que no quieres que vaya".
