On the morning of June 4, the imperial throne of the Nguyễn Dynasty was put back on display at the Thái Hòa Palace, inside the Imperial City of Huế (Phú Xuân Ward, Huế City), after being damaged by tourists more than a year ago.According to Mr. Hoàng Việt Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the restoration of this national treasure — the Nguyễn Dynasty imperial throne — was carried out seriously, carefully, in full compliance with legal regulations and professional standards for heritage conservation.The restoration work was performed from April 22 to May 4 at the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum. Throughout the process, the Expert Council closely inspected and supervised every step to ensure scientific, technical, and heritage conservation principles were strictly followed.The restoration adhered to the principles of maximum preservation of original elements, prioritized the use of materials compatible with the original, and applied minimal intervention techniques that are non-invasive and do not renew the artifact.The team of restoration artisans made maximum use of the original broken fragments, ensuring the stability, safety, and recognizability of the artifact’s original value.During the restoration, the artisans cleaned and dried the throne, treated mold and termite damage according to standard procedures, and successfully reattached 14 broken pieces of the left armrest. They used matching wood and fine wood powder mixed with raw lacquer to repair cracks and missing parts, restored the mortise-and-tenon joints of the armrest, and stabilized flaking areas with specialized adhesive. Missing sections were restored using traditional techniques.The restoration team used traditional Vietnamese lacquer (son ta) and real gold to complete the finishing work according to traditional methods. A thin, transparent protective layer was applied without altering the original aesthetic value of the artifact.According to Mr. Trung, the entire restoration process was fully documented through video recording, photography, and detailed records, which were archived in accordance with regulations for long-term management, research, and preservation, while ensuring transparency of the professional process.After restoration, the artifact has been structurally stabilized, with the damaged armrest fully restored. It now retains the correct original shape, dimensions, and colors as documented in the 2015 national treasure recognition dossier. The restoration did not add any new decorative patterns or motifs and did not alter the original elements in any way.

Biển Mỹ Khê thì ở Việt Nam, nhưng xung quanh nghe tiếng Hàn còn nhiều hơn tiếng Việt. Đi vài con phố lại tưởng mình lạc sang Seoul hay New Delhi.
Đà Nẵng bây giờ đúng kiểu thành phố đa quốc gia: bay một chặng mà check-in được nhiều nước. 🤣 chưa kể tiếng Hoa, tiếng Pháp … đủ thứ “quốc tế” coi cũng vui vui
Thấy cũng vui lây cho du lịch nước nhà: biển quá đẹp, ấm áp với sóng nhẹ sạch như pha lê, trên biển không hề có rác nha, ngoài đường không có hành khất, bán vé số … các hotel hay resort quá xịn, dịch vụ trên cả tuyệt vời mà giá cả cũng dễ chấp nhận được … Hèn chi khách quốc tế kéo đến ầm ầm !!
Nói chung rất mừng, qua chuyến khảo sát này mình mở mang thêm nhiều ý tưởng hay để giới thiệu thêm cho du khách Mỹ để về quê mình du lịch !!
