HERE THEY ARE. Edward and Colin!!! 🥹🥹 I rlly enjoy how they came out!! I used ‪@baby_carrot_art9006‬ picrew maker to help design!! (Should totally check it out if you need help designing an oc or any character it’s super awesome and has a lot of different options within outfit, hair and accessories!!). Though I might go back to change up Colin’s hair or imma keep it the same but shorten it, I want smth so I can easily draw it by memory like Edward’s but idk yet! If you have any like questions or js comments you can put them in the well comments abt these guys!! I will try my best to answer or if not I rlly hope you like the drawings!!

Feeling bored rn so I am going to be talking about Edward and Colin again 🥹 this time Im going into more of their backstories and family! This is gonna be another long one so…Buckle in and have your snacks and drinks!

Lets start out with our Business man, Edward, shall we?

Edward was born the youngest in his family of three siblings and is half Asian half Canadian Two older brothers and one older sister. Brandon, Everest and Nami. In Saskatoon of Saskatchewan, Canada. As Edward was the youngest that meant he was the final baby his parents would have and as the result of that they babied him a lot. They favored him and adored him over his siblings. He didn’t mind it at first and genuinely thought it was normal. Though his siblings beg to differ…all three of them disliking them for their own reasons but one is how much attention he had gotten. Though Edward didn’t see that…he looked up to his siblings a lot and had looked up their father, his inspiration for wanting to go into business himself. Though he ever so wanted his siblings attention and wanted to be around them. But his siblings didn’t want him around, they ignored him, pushed him around and yelled at him whenever they…well he can remember…”got annoying”. He never understood why and was confused…which hurt a lot. He tried impressing them but nothing worked. After trying to connect with his sister, Nami, while drawing only to be snapped at to be quiet. He gave up. During school he was mostly alone, he kept to himself—after all, he didn’t want to bother anyone. By this time he was still being babied by his parents. He found it annoying by now.

By the time he was in university…he gotten away from his family and being babied. He found it refreshing, of course being away. But also by this time he was questioning whether he was…gay or not. He was fond of men more than women and every time he’d date a woman they never lasted, it was always a “we never have a close connection” type of problem…he was nervous to get with a man but he was definitely smitten when he came across a man or would talk to one. By the time he graduated university in business, he was 25 and had believed he was gay. So he decided during dinner he’d come out. Believing…”my parents gave me so much love and attention I’m sure they’ve supported me in this right?” ….mmm. His mom cried, she was in heavy denial, his dad angry knowing he can’t fix this “problem”, his eldest brother, Brandon siding with his parents and mentioning “they given you everything!”. His second eldest brother, Everest…quiet. To afraid to speak up as he never believed his opinion mattered when no one asked it or it was completely ignored. His sister, Nami, upset at the fact everything is changing and “wished everything was back to the way it was!”. Edward saw it as rejection. He was ashamed of what he was and he argued back which only got worst. So that same night…he packed his bags and left for New York for a new beginning. Now he’s 27 and a successful business man, alone, single but that didn’t matter to him. Work and success did. Routine and being early did. Even if he has to keep a part of himself hidden for the rest of his life, ashamed…even if he has to lie about “finding the right woman” even when they’re won’t be. He disappointed his family enough..he couldn’t bare disappoint anyone else.

That differs from Colin.

You see, Colin was born the third eldest- middle brother among his other six siblings in Bedford, Virginia, being half French half American. He grew up on a traditional farmhouse with his siblings…as you can imagine it was chaotic and loud but Colin loved it. It was his home and he felt safe among his siblings and parents. Though, as he grew up he was taught a few things among being in a big family. That if you wanted to be heard-you’d learn to speak up, if you wanted attention- you’d make people laugh, if someone was upset-you’d notice. General things he’d kept in mind in the future. Anyway—differ from edward being the youngest, Colin was the oldest-middle child among two older siblings and three younger ones. Kayden, Susannah, Kimberly, Daniel and little Ashton. Kayden and Susannah being the two oldest and Kimberly, Daniel and Ashton being the youngest. His parents never failed to give attention to all their children. Though they weren’t perfect but they tried and that mattered most. They know when or what a child needs and when they needed it, they never favored or babied over their children as they babied all of them. Colin noticed that and he loved them for it…even when they forget or missed something they always apologized and own up to it. Growing up, Colin was the artistic one and he loved Kayden and Susannah, but he was inspired by Susannah the most. Susannah loved fashion and her outfits were always picked and looked amazing—though she never wanted to work in fashion but Colin did. He loved the idea of creating something out of nothing. As he got into school, he got more into art and drama classes and by college, he went to university that offered a fashion degree and had graduated with his B.F.A! Though as you know, Colins Gay as well. And when he came out to his family they…didn’t view him differently. They thanked him for trusted him, teased him for worrying over something that didn’t change him at all. And Colin learned that…He’s still Colin. He shouldn’t be ashamed of who he was because he was still him!

Now, Colin moved to New York as well to persue in his fashion degree—so he became a designer! His first time being in New York was obviously nerve racking. Knowing no one and having no family it was weird and uncomfortable…so he tried to put himself out there to find friends as he started his designing job. Though he wasn’t always successful…some friends being rude or judgmental or some being fake in general. Though he then found his crowd and has a close knit friend group he hangs out with almost everyday and texts. Think of it as Fabian and his friends (again tough guy ref / iykyk if you read the book!) or Kyle and Maria (Common goal ref / iykyk if you read the book). Some of his friends were gay to so that was lovely. Hed go out a lot and get dates though most of them ended messily…though some didn’t! Other times he’d go back despite his friends telling him not to. He genuinely believed in the guys but after them ending the same he decided not to trust so easily. Slowly but surely he branched out of designing and more into modeling-which now is his full time job! He still creates and designs clothes but mainly for himself or friends and family!

Now he’s 27, modeling, and has his buddies. But he hasn’t dated in a while…he practically given up. His friends despite reassuring him “he’ll find the right man”. He hoped they were right. He doesn’t wanna hide away forever because he can’t find the right man.

I just spent my entire night finishing up my newly ocs information. 🙂 did I not sleep at all? Yea. Was it worth it? YEA. Now i get to tell you guys about them! This is gonna be a long one..so buckle in!

So…who are these newly ocs im talking about? Well they are Edward Silver and Colin Cash! Did i make two new sets of ocs during my pride art challenge that i still ended not finishing? Yes…but I cannot help getting inspired easily by pins on Pinterest!! anyways thats besides the point. Im actually rlly hyper about their story and I wanna actually turn them into a physical story. Either a live action movie or animated movie or a book but that might be a stretch. Anyway lets move on…

Edward and Colin’s story is a Christmas/Winter based story. I was inspired by a pin that is in their board on my Pinterest (you should go check it out!!!) with two men in a elevator, one dressed alternately another in a suit. I immediately got inspired and saved it to a board which became Edward and Colin >< after that I was very much inspired by The Family Stone after my moms started watching it again, its possibly one of my favorite Christmas movies EVER. totally go watch it if you never did!! Anyway i wanted their story to be like theirs but like completely different. Anyway lets get into the actual plot(?)…

Edward Silver is a successful business man among many others. He’s routine based and never fails to be late. If anything he’s rather early. He doesn’t have friends…only acquaintances or coworkers. Though he cannot help but care like a friend. One thing about him is that he’s…gay. But he’s ashamed of it…so he rather keep that part hidden away for no one else to know. Surely the…”right woman” would show up. Right? Well He couldn’t bare to tell anyone after a huge argument broke out among his family when he was 25. Then comes in Colin Cash!! You may think he looks familiar and you’ll be correct! He works as an alternative model for living with a B.F.A in Fashion! Unlike Edward, Colin is spontaneous. He’s loud, expressive, dramatic, funny! He’s everything Edward Isn’t. Differ from Edward, Colin has a small group of close knit friends he hangs out with who are very important to Colin, think of fabian and his friends (tough guy ref/iykyk if you read the book!!). Colin was always the artistic type and once he was introduced to fashion by his eldest sister, Susannah, that sparked off more creativity and it help become who he is today! Anyways something that makes Colin different is that hes also gay! But instead of hiding like edward…hes Open about it! Hes proud of being who he is and some of his friends are gay to! Why would he be so ashamed of something that didn’t make him any less Colin?

Moving on…Edward never paid attention to advertisements. They were always the same basic ones, so why should he care? Though that changed…because this add was a different— well not necessarily different but the model certainly was. He looked stunning…gorgeous even. His face, his eyes, his vitiligo that scattered across his face…Everything about him struck Edward to the core so out nowhere. He hated it. He shouldn’t feel like this…but he caught his name on the add, Colin Cash. No he can’t…he’s a nobody while he was a big top model. He shouldn’t care. Until he bumped into him and saw him in person and he was even more stunning in person. But these feelings can’t get stronger. I mean hes the complete opposite of colin! He can’t possibly be his type….right?

Colin is struggling to date. After majority of his relationships ending messily…and lack of trusting. He’s given a break on dating in general and his friends are devastated. Trying to reassure that “the right man will come”. Though Colin was start to disagree that would happen. But he hoped that they were right. After a photoshoot was done for a Christmas collection Colin left to meet up with friends at their favorite local café shop they always hang out in. Not until bumping into a possibly the most handsome guy ever…well maybes he’s exaggerating…buut he was very charming and very polite. With his black hair, darken silver eyes…his name Edward Silver on his employee badge. Colin felt heat? On his face? No...he assumed Edward was straight plus he couldn’t possibly be HIS type. They are complete opposites!! Right?….

They couldn’t possibly love each other—they’ll start off as friends! Acquaintances?…ugh. Who knows…but Edward couldn’t be Colin’s type and neither can Colin. Right?
