Chitralekha Das is a scholar in music, groomed first in Tagore's Santi Niketan (Visva Bharati) and later completing her post graduation with distinction from Kolkata's prestigious Rabindra Bharati University. Her preceptors include such illustrious names as Suchitra Mitra, Sumitra Sen, Maya Sen et al. Music thereafter has been an abiding passion for her — both as a teacher and as a well-regarded performing artiste.

Her creativity has found evocative expression in other art forms, like glass painting and designing of clothes. Knack for the latter art found its fruition in turning her into a full-scale designer of sarees, costumes and other aspects of sophisticated haute-couture, under the much sought after brand name of Sujatra. But even amidst all these entrepreneurial activities over the last two decades, Chitralekha has maintained her abiding link with the soulful world of music.

This YouTube channel is a testimony to that creative urge. All are invited to share in its delights.
