Hello gamers -- quick update! I'm currently working on 3 videos simultaneously that will all come out in some order in the next month or two.
1. Gen 5 Victory Road!!! This one has been a HUGE uphill battle. There are a billion trainers, and I want this video to feel as cohesive as possible, so it might be a bit before you see it. But I am working on it!! Attached as a picture to this post, you'll see the caliber of some of the teams I'm working with.
2. A shorter, more traditional-adef-style pokemon math video. This'll be the first long-form video on the channel where more than just a small segment is edited by someone else! In the two map randomizer videos, I had a friend (zweek) edit the math portions, and they were so incredible, so I wanted to see what it would feel like if I tasked him with an entire video. I'll edit the final assembly, but the vast majority of the work will be done by zweek. I'm excited to see the final product, and this is an exciting step because it allows me to work on longer videos / passion projects while one is simultaneously being finished! This is only possible thanks to the support from all of you, so thank you! An example of a passion project would be:
3. A more experimental math video that covers a non-pokemon IP. These videos are always a risk, numbers-wise, but this is an IP I care a lot about, so I hope you'll give the video a chance. I'll do my best to sauce it up as best as I can!!
As always, I'm so grateful to have this career that I do, and I promise I don't take it for granted. I hope you'll enjoy all 3 of these videos, and in the meantime, I will continue uploading the pokemon fact shorts as they are finished.

Hi gang!! Sorry for the radio silence; I’ve been taking a few weeks off to travel around Europe with Miss Arlie.
Some shorts that were already finished before I left will continue to upload, but when those run out, it’ll be some time before uploads become regular again.
I should have a cool, very different, long-form pokemon+math video up by the end of February, so look forward to that!!
This is the first proper vacation either of us has taken in a LONG time, and it’s only possible thanks to the amazing support you all have shown by watching both our channels over the last few years.
Thank you for your continued support, and I promise there is some cool stuff in the pipeline!

Hi team! Some updates on the Shorts series I've been doing, which covers interesting facts for every pokemon, one at a time:
1. I edited the first few myself, and immediately realized that it would be genuinely impossible to keep doing everything on the long-form side by myself AND make all of these shorts, SO I've hired a very talented shorts editor to tackle the shorts project. I still do all of the research, writing, and filming, but they edit each video now.
2. To that end, something I've been seeing a lot of comments about on the last few shorts is the audio volume. In general, I like to mix my videos quieter than most creators, because I think the internet is far too loud. I'd rather you have to turn my videos up, not down. HOWEVER, clearly something has changed. I don't know if youtube has changed something on the back end with how audio is processed, or how their EQ works, but suddenly, the audio level myself and my shorts editor have been using the entire time is far quieter than before. Interestingly, people on Instagram and TikTok (where I also post every short) don't seem to mind the volume as much. Who knows, lol.
To remedy this, for all future shorts, we will be mixing them louder than before. Thank you very much to those of you that pointed out the audio issue in a constructive way! And not thank you to those of you telling me I'm a moron for the shorts being quiet, or that I don't read my comments. I obviously read my comments, and also, you don't know me lmfao. Bonus weirdly, I still don't think the shorts are too quiet, but so many of you have said something that it'd be silly to ignore it.
3. You've probably also already noticed, but in an effort to keep the shorts as high quality as possible, we've committed to uploading every other day, rather than every day. This is so that both myself and my editor can keep our sanity. I'm trying to maintain a high standard of quality for both the visual appeal, as well as the writing. Uploading every day would see a marked drop in quality. It was an ambitious goal, and one I should've obviously known was dumb right from the jump, lol.
I'm also not going to discount the possibility that we miss a day here or there. I will try my hardest to ensure this doesn't happen, but I'm human. If I miss a day, trust me, I'll get the next pokemon uploaded as fast as I can.
---------------------- Regardless of all of this, thank you so much to all of you that have enjoyed the series thus far. My shorts editor and I will continue to take feedback to try to keep improving the videos as we progress! Thank you for your patience and your patronage.
