Bangkok-based, Thai-German independent artist 'Cupnoodle' writes music that feels like conversations people have with themselves. R&B-led, Soulful Pop songs with an edge of that singer-songwriter style.
Growing up as a self-aware outsider, not Asian enough for some, not Western enough for others, has given Cupnoodle a unique lens for seeing the world. This in-between space shows up in her unconventional wordplay and bilingual metaphors that is authentic to her upbringing. She writes about the stuff people usually keep to themselves, uncovering the contradictions of modern life and the absurdity of trying to fit into a mold.
Having lived and studied across Bangkok, London, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam and Tokyo, her music naturally picks up different flavors from all these places. She has a degree in Music Technology and plays guitar, piano and drums.
