Someone once told me in a chat. "Go use Google Translate. Your English is out of your league."

I didn't reply. I just closed the chat. Sat there. And thought yeah. They're right. That's just me.

That's what 20 years does to you. It makes you agree with people who are insulting you. Because by that point you've already said it to yourself a thousand times. They're just saying it out loud.

Every class. Every exam. Every time someone read something in 10 seconds and I was still on the first line. I had one explanation. I'm slow. I'm just not built like that. Some people get it fast. I'm the other kind.

I tried to fix it. Took courses. Paid money. Practiced. Still couldn't spell basic words. Still read the same sentence four times and felt nothing. Still took forever to reply to a simple message. And every time someone pointed it out I just said sorry and moved on. Because what else do you do when you think that's just who you are.

Not one teacher. Not one friend. Not one person who watched me struggle for 20 years ever stopped and said bhai maybe something else is going on. They just laughed. And I stayed behind trying to figure out what was wrong with me.

𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝘆𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗮.

20 years. I spent 20 years believing I was the problem. Turns out my brain just works differently. And I had to figure that out alone.

I'm not sad about the disorder. I'm angry about the 20 years.
