Barak Valley Premier League Matches Postponed Due to Inclement Weather
The Nature Pure–sponsored Barak Valley Premier League (BVPL) commenced successfully last Sunday, 8th March with league matches being conducted smoothly up to Thursday.
However, due to inclement weather conditions, the last two league matches scheduled for Friday could not be played. As a result, the points for those matches were evenly distributed among the concerned teams.
The semifinal line-up was subsequently drawn, and the matches were scheduled to be played on Saturday as per the tournament schedule. Unfortunately, continuous rain and adverse weather conditions disrupted play. Although an attempt was made to conduct a limited-overs match, it could not be completed.
The organizing committee then decided to reschedule the semifinal matches for today and postpone the final to Monday. Despite sincere efforts by Mr Chandan Sarma, the ground staff and organizers to prepare the field for play, persistent rain and unfavorable weather conditions prevented even a single ball from being bowled today.
After a thorough review of the prevailing weather situation and detailed discussions among the organizers, it has been decided to postpone both the semifinal and final matches to a later date, which will be announced in due course.
This decision has been taken in the greater interest of the game and the safety of players and officials. The organizing committee sincerely appreciates the understanding and continued support of all participating franchises, players, sponsors, and cricket enthusiasts.
Further updates regarding the revised schedule will be communicated soon.

Our team scored 113 all out in 17.4 overs, and with great bowling and fighting spirit, restricted the opponents to 106 all out in 16.3 overs.
