Hello all of you Vaingloriously wonderful people! It's been almost a week and there hasn't been a new videos on my channel. So, let's talk about it. :)

I've been working on a new Astroneer Academy video and, as usual, it is taking far more time than I originally anticipated. I am, thankfully, past the difficult part now, so it should go a bit quicker. Look for it this weekend or early next week.

For other content, I'm also working on my GTA Online Garage Tour series. Those, too, take a LOT of time per video. I expect to have another one some time in the next two to three weeks.

As for Timberborn, I'm taking a month or two off. That lovely game has had a home on my channel for a few years now and I just need a break from it. I feel like a lot of what I build in the game has become a bit formulaic, repeating essentially the same projects with slight variations over and over. A break from the game will help me come back with fresh eyes and, hopefully, even more new stuff to explore in-game.

Looking into the next few weeks, GTA Online has a summer update arriving so you will see a burst of activity in that space as I feature new cars. That also means my "Will it Offroad?" series will be returning once again. All 12 of you who watch those will be excited about that!

But yeah, that's kind of where things are right now. Two big passion projects ongoing - Astroneer Academy and GTA Online Garage Tours - and they both require a TON of time to get a single video knocked out. I'm not gonna burn myself out by trying to rush through each project so, they'll be uploaded when they're ready. Be patient. :)

Actually... disregard this. I had the dates wrong. The embargoed video is tomorrow (30-April) and Timberborn will still be Friday (1-May). Sorry about the confusion!

Hello all of you Vaingloriously wonderful people! Quick scheduling note: this week's Timberborn will become available to everyone on Saturday (it's currently available early to member's). I have another video with an embargo for Friday around the same time Timberborn usually goes live and, since it's not a good idea to publish too much at once, I decided to bump Timberborn back by a day. Gotta get the views on that embargoed video, ya know?

Hello all of you Vaingloriously wonderful people! I was travelling earlier this week which meant no video production, so here's a quick scheduling update.

Astroneer April Update - should be uploaded tonight or tomorrow morning, going live tomorrow afternoon.

Timberborn 1.0 Vanilla Series - it's recorded but not edited. I will get it edited and uploaded once the Astroneer video (and CPP's Friday livestream, which I moderate) are finished. It'll be uploaded and ready to go live by Sunday afternoon (maybe Saturday).

Will it Offroad - Next week's Will it Offroad *might* be delayed until Tuesday instead of Monday. It will just depend on how quickly I can get caught up.

I'll spare you the specifics but I have been laid up in bed almost all day, every day, for the duration. I have a couple of videos currently in various stages of the production process and I'll get back to working on them once I have recovered a bit.

Hello all of you Vaingloriously wonderful people. GTA Online receives a winter update on Wednesday this week, so you will see a sudden spike in videos from that game (mostly car related).

Astroneer is also supposed to be getting a hotfix for the disastrous Megatech launch, so I will DEFINITELY have a news video discussing its impact on the game. I'm also still working on my "The Problem with Megatech" video and hope to be able to finish it once the hotfix arrives. I can't promise that will video will come out this week. I've also held off on new Astroneer Academy videos due to frequent crashing to the desktop (kinda hard to record something that isn't there 😉). If this hotfix brings more stability, I'll get back to work on Astroneer Academy ASAP.

Timberborn videos will return in January.

Why am I telling you this? Because anytime one game gets an update and my video output for that game increases, some people forget that this is a "variety channel" and they get mad and unsubscribe. So if you see a bunch of videos from a game you're not interested in, don't forget that it's a short term pivot. The videos for the game(s) that led you to subscribe will be back and you don't want to miss those. :)

Hello all of you Vaingloriously wonderful people! The Megatech DLC for Astroneer has been interesting. I ran into a bug that soft locked my progress (yikes!) so I have to start all over before I can begin making any videos about it. I hope to have a video out tomorrow or Monday.

Hello all of you Vaingloriously wonderful people! A quick note that both Astroneer and GTA Online have major updates dropping soon, so my upload schedule will be adjusting as I cover each. You will see a LOT of content from both games for the rest of the year. That's it, that's the message.

Well, not really, but it's the TL;DR version. For those of you who like details, here they come!

To begin, the finale for The Emberpelts series of Timberborn went public yesterday and, in light of the information that follows, Timberborn is going on a short break on my channel. Don't worry, those adorable, industrious beavers WILL be back! I'm aiming for late December into early January for that.

The Astroneer Megatech DLC drops on the 20th (there is still time to enter my giveaway for one of TWENTY copies of the DLC, by the way! Entries close on the 20th at 11:59 PM Central US time). System Era is unable to provide advance access for content creators to prepare videos ahead of time, so I will be working very hard on release day to get in and get a basic overview of the DLC prepared. On release day, I will try to have a very "big picture" video out late that day that covers what is in the free update and what is paid.

By the 25th, I hope to have a high level "overview" style guide for the DLC. A much more thorough guide will be available in Astroneer Academy courses; more about that in a moment.

By the 29th, I hope to have a review of the Megatech DLC uploaded.

As I am able, shorter Astroneer Academy Extras and QuickBytes will be uploaded to discuss simpler topics such as walkways, tether droppers, icon sign posts, and more. I currently have four of these scheduled as Extras. I hope to have one of these per week beginning on the 26th.

Many of the Astroneer Academy contributors have agreed to help me do an info dump of every little detail for the Megatech DLC so that we can compile that information and begin to assemble it into full video courses. This will take a while, however, and I suspect that you won't see the BIG parts of Megatech until sometime in January, at the earliest.

On December 9th, GTA Online should have its next major update. As usual, I will have videos showcasing each new vehicle, with two to three of those videos per day, and then a video each week that additional vehicles are made available for purchase in-game. There may also be guides or other DLC related videos scattered through the first week or two after the DLC drops.

"Will it Offroad?" will also return either December 15th or 22nd. And it's spin-off, "Will it Offroad... in the Snow?!" will return late in the month and run into January.

I am currently uncertain when the GTA Online Billion Dollar Garage Tour Showcase will resume, though it WILL be back. Those videos take a TON of time to create, however, and they do not receive a lot of views, so I have to find time to create them without delaying things that DO get more views on my channel.

As with anything in content creation, all of this is subject to change. There is a LOT happening that I feel my viewers will enjoy, so I will be incredibly busy. This is also leading into the holiday season so I will have IRL commitments that will take up some time. I also moderate Twitch chat for City Planner Plays, which I absolutely LOVE doing, but it does take up the better part of a day each week. And of course, I have to take care of myself to avoid burn out and protect my mental health. So take all of the dates I've shared in this incredibly long post with a grain of salt. Still, I'm very excited for the Astroneer and GTA Online updates, and I can't wait to share all of it with you.
