Very odd "Mixtape" got positive reviews and people assume Annapurna paid for that, when Cory In The House's DS video game also got positive reviews very recently.
And much like Mixtape, those concerning positive reviews came in free and Metacritic didn't even need to charge them rent.
Basically, it's called "review trolling".
But I swear, critic score sites are just weird.

Films MGM was originally gonna distribute:
1. Cat Tale (Imagi Studios)
2. T28 (Imagi Studios) (I didn’t know they were originally gonna distribute that one. But then again, I feel like Touchstone Pictures would’ve been a better option for T28.)
3. Punk Farm (Prana Studios) (Originally meant to be done by DreamWorks Animation)
4. Delgo (Fathom Studios & Electric Eye Entertainment) (It ended up being distributed by Freestyle Releasing)
5. Noah (Bill Cosby was originally gonna co-produce it. You can tell why it got cancelled.)
6. Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarves (Locus Animation) (It shares animators with “Bling (2016)”.)

What MGM ended up distributing:
“Igor (2008)”
You said no to Cat Tale, Delgo, Punk Farm, and Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarves, but you said yes to Igor?
