I don’t know if anyone will read this, but I thought I'd put together some random multimedia recommendations in case anyone is looking for movies to watch, books to read or podcasts to listen to:)

Books:
- Notes of a Crocodile by Qiu Miaojin, a queer Taiwanese author with an experimental writing style. Also “Last Words from Montmartre” by her, but that one’s dark and I would give a TW for suicide
- The Passion according to GH by Clarice Lispector, a Brazilian author with Ukrainian roots, a very poetic writing style. It often feels like an existential poem
- Identitti by Mithu Sanyal. Idk how this is in the English translation, but I loove this book. Funny, poetic, intelligent, political, just read it:))
- Die Erfindung des Lebens by Hanns-Josef Ortheil, sadly I couldn't find this in English so far
- Yoga by Emmanuel Carrère, a book about way more than Yoga. Mental health, politics, humanitarian aid and a lot of wonderful references and beautiful language
- Cantoras by Carolina de Robertis.

Movies:
- The Hours by Stephen Daldry. This movie is about three different women whose lives are all impacted by the work Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf (she is one of them xd). it's an adaptation of the novel with the same name by Michael Cunningham, also recommended <3. TW suicide.
- Saving Face by Alice Wu. I just love this movie, idk how to describe it xd
- Cranko by Joachim Lang. I don’t think this is available in English atm, I hope it will be soon. It's an experimental documentary/fictionalized biography of John Cranko.
- Reinas by Klaudia Reynicke. A movie about Lima in the 90s, family, patriarchal society and with beautiful colors.

Podcasts (English)
- Theory & Philosophy. Great for detailed summaries of important works.
- Queer as Fact. Queer people in historical portraits, esp love the episodes on Audre Lorde and Qiu Miaojin.
- The Nietzsche Podcast
- European Intellectual History since Nietzsche. Really good lectures on Foucault, Postmodernism, Structuralism and much more
- What is Politics? LOVE this podcast, it's also on yt, highly recommended.

I'll publish an episode on the relationship of Capitalism to Nature this weekend:) I'm looking forward to this kinda different topic and hope it's also welcome here <3 We'll look at what developments in the history of capitalism fostered its exploitation of the environment and oppressed groups (PoC, women, colonized countries etc).
