Honoured to have a quote from my review featured in Pan Macmillan’s marketing campaign for brand new court room thriller Dissection of a Murder by Jo Murray! 🙌📚🫶

This is one of the most moving & powerful reflections on reading I’ve ever seen. For Women’s History Month, fellow Booktuber @BonnieNicoleWrites shares her experience of growing up in a cult, the difficult process of unlearning what she was taught, & how reading became a way to reclaim her voice.
Stories like this are exactly why women’s voices matter. Why they need to be heard, preserved, & protected.
I encourage you to check out Bonnie's video & her channel generally. She speaks so eloquently & with such passion 💜

Hey friends, figured I’d let you know I’m alive & well since I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks!
…Two weeks isn’t long in real life, but it’s long in YouTube Land 😅
My husband & son have been off work / school so I’ve been spending time with them. I’ve recorded a couple of videos though which will be out soon 😊 (..as soon as I get my butt in gear & finish editing them haha)
In the meantime, if you want to know what I’m up to, check out my second very casual channel @SimplyChes where I recently uploaded a Day In The Life Vlog: https://youtu.be/7n-5UK9ZUYI?si=hI2Fm...
You can find more vlogs, as well as decluttering & simple living content over there. If that isn’t your thing, no worries - more bookish content is coming soon 📚❤️

Just a little update as I’ve been quieter than usual lately. I aim to post twice a week, but I’ve been unwell over the festive holidays. I’m still not well enough to film (my throat isn’t cooperating!!) but I’ve finally been able to edit a video I filmed before Christmas - that will be live later today 😊
Sorry I’ve also been a bit less active in the comments over the last couple of weeks. I’ve been resting as much as I can (hard to do when it’s the holidays & you’re a mum!). I’m catching up with comments now. Just know that I read & appreciate them all 💜
As soon as my voice allows, I’ll be filming my Best Books of the Year video & my December Wrap Up (I broke my reading slump, so I actually have a wrap up this month haha 😅📚).
Happy New Year bookish friends! Thank you all for being here 🫶

YouTube Recap 2025 has exposed me:
My No. 1 most-watched channel is… me 🤣
That’s what I get for doing quality checks & adding timestamps after upload 🙈😅
However, the other channels in my top list are some of my favourite booktubers - shoutout to @alisontalksbooks, @pallor17reads, & @TheBookThing 📚
If you swipe right, you’ll spot even more booktubers I’ve loved watching this year! 💜

Alison of @alisontalksbooks has really made me think with this one -- as she often does with her insightful videos! Alison thinks we need to make room for serious literary analysis that isn't afraid of spoilers. I agree with her ..and yet my own channel currently has very little spoiler-filled content. I love deep dives and analysing books thematically; is this something you're interested in seeing more of, or do you tend to stick to spoiler-free content? 📚🤔

I wasn’t sure whether to share this, but it feels like a special milestone. Ches’s Book Nook has been accepted into the YouTube Partner Program!💫
Thank you so much for watching, liking, commenting, and helping this little bookish community grow. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support 🥹📚
It’s been a tough few years (with chronic illness and fluctuating business sales!), so having this channel as a space to share my passion and connect with other readers has meant the world to me.
Side note: Sorry my October TBR and September wrap up are a little late this month. I’ve been poorly for several days now, but luckily I pre-filmed a few videos. My TBR is out tomorrow and I’ll film my September wrap up as soon as my voice comes back 😅
Hope you have an amazing weekend 🫶

500 subs!! ✨💜 Woke up to this milestone and I’m so grateful. I’ve loved chatting with you in the comments, swapping book recs, and building this little corner of Booktube together.
My brain is figuratively bursting with video ideas (seriously, I could film for two years straight with the ideas bouncing around in my brain 😅). It’s only been 10 weeks, but I’m here for the long haul… and the book hauls 🤣.
Thank you to everyone who’s watched, subbed, commented, liked (and even disliked!) my videos 💜📚

Just got back from a long weekend in a log cabin🌲Read a lot & enjoyed some peaceful forest walks with my bestie, Marley!🐾 There might be a short vlog coming (or there might not be because it turns out a lot of my footage is terrible 😂). Anyway, here's a couple of photos of Marley for my fellow dog lovers, plus a small sneak peak at what I've been reading - & what my husband is reading too!💜
